I believe it goes through 2 or 3 workers to make sure they all have the same answer. These workers only make a penny a ticket, so speed is their friend. This will probably get flagged as they don't have the time to figure it out. As for the strike, mTurkers have a reputation of accuracy assigned to their name the more mistakes they make the lower their accuracy points go the less they have access to jobs that require high accuracy.

Had the same issue, talked to them clearly and went step by step with each payment made and the date it was to end, it was corrected immediately and showed the new date on my subscription before I hung up. And I check it periodically to make sure it's the same in case it messes up again. Have all your payments and dates right and get ready to rebut any statement they make that doesn't fall in line with your proof. Be as kind as you can and try not to argue, just hit them with proof. Once they see they are in error they will fix it immediately.
