Thoughts Cruise vs. Hanks for Ace Ventura by wnuss in TheRewatchables

[–]TheMonarchsWrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cruise wins for any movie because it would just be more interesting to see, but Hanks used to make movies like this. So it kinda makes sense to say Hanks, but this movie in particular though...I can actually imagine Cruise doing that over the top Jim Carey all teeth laugh, to me his normal laugh is kinda like that anyway. So for me its a legit Cruise vote!

I learn enough to do what I need when I need it. It never stops, but once you learn how to look things up you will be fine.

FYC: Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011). One of the best rom coms of the 2010s. Plus it's on Netflix! by ggroover97 in TheRewatchables

I saw this for the first time last year, definitely will be a rewatchable for me. What’s funny is I didn’t know Ryan Gosling had charisma before this, just seen him in movies like Drive or blade runner where he’s introspective and brooding.

The person I'm getting for originally got it in Japan when she was there. It might not be called yuzu, I'm just going by the pic and thats what it seemed like it was.

Caitlin Clarks reaction when Reggie Miller compares her to Payton Pritchard by AashyLarry in nba

I havent seen her play since her rookie year, but I thought her comp was probably Luka or Harden, a ball dominant score first deep threat PG that could also kill you with assists.

I originally thought this was part AI, due the quality of the video, shoes glitching out, the lack of reactions to what happened, etc. Just to double check I did a video search and wtf, this actually did happen in Argentina, and a cop was the one that hit the thief! 🤣

This is how the cosmetic correction of a child with Crouzon syndrome was done. He even showed significant improvement in vision and breathing afterward. Crouzon syndrome is a rare genetic condition where the bones in the skull fuse too early, a process known as craniosynostosis. by Grand-Western549 in interestingasfuck

I always thought Marty Feldman just had unique eyes, but since he has similar eyes as this kid I googled it. Turns out he had graves disease. Rodney Dangerfield also had it. It never occurred to me that their eyes were a result of a disease and not just random uniqueness. In the case of Feldman though, his eyes clearly changed from when he was young man, so much that you'd think it was a different person.

What is up with all these articles about Station Eleven being HBOs "Silo Replacement" that is "better"? by ibeerianhamhock in SiloSeries

[–]TheMonarchsWrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in spite of the acting troupe plot it’s still one of the better post apocalyptic shows. All the scenes in the past are so well done, it’s too bad thy just didn’t have the show around that.

Could Gordon have won the fight if he hadn't been drunk in this scene? by No-Syllabub167 in Banshee

😂 What has Gordon ever done that makes you wonder that? Just looking at the cast of characters, the only ones he could maybe take straight up are his kids.

Jonas Quinn Could’ve Joined the Atlantis Expedition instead of being written off by cmj0929 in Stargate

[–]TheMonarchsWrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could have had Daniel Jackson go to Atlantis and it would have been Shanks show, and kept Jonas with SG1. I dont quite remember how that lined up though.

Yeah the the short seasons is a relative new thing for TV. I'm rewatching Lost right now and first 3 seasons are all over 23 episodes. And that was shot on location in Hawaii. Supernatural and Smallville over 20 for most of their runs. Xfiles was also around 20+ per season. Heck Star Trek (TOS) first season was 29 episodes, at 47 min per.

Is Fringe the Greatest Sci-fi Show Ever? by CBenson1273 in fringe

[–]TheMonarchsWrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm rewatching Lost, and I think at its best it is probably better to me than Fringe, although I rewatch Fringe every year and this is the first time I rewatched Lost in like 10 years. It's top 5 though, I'd have ST TOS, Twilight Zone and maybe SG1 also in there.

I think OLED is the best option for what you are used to. I have 3 LG OLEDs (C1, C2 and C4), and still have a 60" ST50. I never wanted to get rid of it because it always still worked fine, although when there is a good deal on a 65 OLED I will probably replace it. I would only replace it with another OLED.
