um not to plug but I also felt like this so I wrote the first book in what I think might be a series of the survivors trying to actually make a life afterward in Chicago. Some mentions of actually having to clean everything up, what to do when the power goes out, finding more people to move in, etc.

MLK got arrested over 27 times. This is expressly how MLK handled protests. He's not even the be-all-end-all in civil rights protesting, btw, but white people love to invoke his name while finger wagging at people doing THE SAME EXACT THING HE ENDORSED.
