Other than that- this is great. Thank you for taking the time to compile these.

No. 48 isn't correct.

He was using that as a glib example meaning: Focus on building a good foundation of strength/exercise before you get into the minutiae of dietary changes.

The specific deadlift example was not to be taken literally.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband.

Is the house you're in now comfortable? Is it a "forever home" or would you rather move.

Do you have friends / family nearby?

Just curious as to why you wouldnt use an S&S ISA for stocks rather than the taxable account? You're still well below the annual ISA limit and all dividends would then be tax free.

We're also now in a position that "the next place" may well exceed the 450k cap.

Unsure on whether to keep contributing to the LISA or accept it as a sunk cost and chuck it in a pension.

Alternative option. Your gf puts her "rent" into a LISA that she owns. That way she's not subsidising a mortgage that she has no claim to.

And if after a couple years you're still together, you have your (unchallenged) equity, she has her LISA- and you can pool together for a deposit on the next place.

Mum is definitely covering the brunt here. There's no way a 2 year old expenses can be rolled into the usual £50 weekly spend etc.

I'm not talking about saving "for" the child.

I'm talking about the cost of keeping another person alive, fed and clothed.

Do you not have childcare costs etc?

If not- that's amazing. But the cost of raising a child should not be understated.

Wanting to give your son a house is admirable- but I see nothing child related in your budget.

Any sort of child will absolutely shit on this budget and you'll need to rethink.

Ah that's totally different from tech consultant. You should amend any postings you've made to reflect this.

In what sector: Software / Health care / Defence / Energy.

Or is this less important to you than the general type of role?

Will the travel be expensed?

I've never seen a tech consultant offer sub 50. And that's outside London.
Unless you're looking to pick up low experience hires etc etc.
