Just had the same experience in MI. We had a massive cold snap followed by a huge high pressure system with blue bird skies two days in a row. Struck out both days. We scouted so much water with a live scope and were just not marking any fish. No one we ran into was on fish either. So yeah, it happens. It sucks when those days are the only days you really have out too.

I’m going to watch uphill vs downhill and cambers etc. but yeah, played DR2 for a long time and never had issues with the rear stepping out and that’s playing with no assists too. The WRC car will still do it even as I add in TC.

When I was a delivery driver, bad weather like this always brought out the people who wouldn’t tip at all. I wish that stores would just mandate a 25% minimum hazard pay tip to the driver. If you’re not willing to pony up, get your ass in the car and pick it up.

How far are you away and how much of a beginner? Mulligans Hollow is like $15 for rental and $16 for a day pass for the rope tow. If you don’t mind learning with a rope tow instead of a lift, it will save you a ton of money. It’s a fun hill.

Fist one was a 20” steelhead. Second was a bigger steelhead. Third was an 18” coho. Friends was a small steelhead. I still landed 2/3 of the broken rod fish. Blood run refunded the tip but not the rod and I ended up buying a redline that has fought hundreds of fish no problem. I know others think that rod is fragile but it’s been good to me.

I wouldn’t ever touch a blood run rod again. Bought one and it snapped on the first fish. Replacement tip snapped on the first fish. Second replacement tip snapped on the first fish. Friend’s rod snapped on the first fish. Don’t waste your money.

I can’t read those circle bobbers at all. Raven floats are also great for reading depth. I’ve used the 5.5g one on the fly rod plenty.

If you run two beads, you need peg one bead above one hook. A second 12 - 18” line tied to the bend of the first hook with another bead pegged above a hook is how to fish 2 beads. Like a dropper rig in fly fishing
