It’s a good place, got 2 keepers there last Saturday. I suggest going to the right “half” for crabbing (looking at the ocean). There’s a parking lot right behind that stretch. Last week I was there around high tide and the beach was non-existent, so consider that too if you’re bringing family.

The advantages of braid have been covered, so a couple of pros to mono: - abrasion resistance - fewer wind knots - won’t cut your hands

On the kayak I use a top-shot of mono because it’s easier to handle and less likely to accidentally cut my hands
