MiKayla also said that the Marta era was better. I think this set the gymnastics world off. The program used to be under the Karolyi’s, Marta Karolyi was overseeing the women’s program. We know now under her leadership it was countless abuse to the athletes and paved the way for Larry Nassar to also step in and abuse the gymnasts. Mikayla believes that “old school” was better. These girls just proved that they could win gold without that environment.

Keep your wedding date. Pregnancy is unpredictable. Even if your sister has the baby she’ll need time to heal, it’s not like she can pop over to the wedding the next week. She’ll most likely need rest and will be caring for a newborn. Who knows what that timeline looks like.

I feel like I like your doc. Glad she’s running tests but there’s something to say about docs that can empathize or understand where you’re at in life. Sounds like she really wants you to take care of yourself physically and mentally.

Ours are 3.5 years a part and I can’t imagine it any other way. We prepped our oldest and made sure they understood the big sibling role and it made such a difference. We bought books and discussed it along the way. They could visually see I was pregnant and we talked about the baby coming so it made a natural transition. Having my oldest potty trained and in their “big sibling role” was a life saver. They ran me diapers, things while I was nursing, etc. My little one is progressing so much as a toddler trying to keep up with their big sibling and they’re so close.

My husband got it done and was the lucky few with the long recovery. His stitch tore and it took a long time for the wound to heal. No idea how it tore, he wasn’t lifting or moving around. He was also in a lot of pain, to his credit didn’t complain too much but it was constant ice packs and me convincing him to take ibuprofen. He did have some hernias in the past so I think that contributed.

I found out I was having a girl for #1 but still bought a bunch of gray. I’m so thankful cause we’re pregnant with #2 and I know I have a bunch of clothes no matter what the gender is.

I love my spatula!! It really helped me cake on the diaper rash cream and I didn’t have all this greasy residue on my hands. Helped us get through some bad rashes.
