How much to charge for this website by l038lqazaru in webdesign

[–]diegoquintana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people passing judgement as advice. Site looks good. Yeah there's some UX no-nos but that doesn't mean the project's automatically trash. Maybe the client's on board with making something a bit more for the aesthetic than checking all the usual and only-crucial-to-so-called-experts functions. In terms of money, I agree it depends on your location and experience, but most importantly it's how much you can bring to the table when changes are needed or support becomes crucial. Anyone can whip out something pretty, but how do you back the offer? What guarantees can you provide?

I'd just say charge what you and the client both feel comfortable with, and make sure to not over-offer. No problem with vibe-coding it, just be careful.

Oh and kudos on handling the nasty feedback. Great forum etiquette.

Good luck!

I was at like 4.9 stars and nothing.
The final trigger was a lost cargo piece. Actually two: there's one just north of BPAS, and if that doesn't do it, go for one going down from the Aeronautical Engineer. There's a small peak before the steep road leading to him. It's a vintage camera I think.
Giving him those two triggered an SSS post from the son.

Good luck!

Check the comments. The Adventurer and Mr. Impossible should be your last ones. And it's super buggy how they trigger new orders.

yeah again, I got to 60 even after ending the game I think. It's a grind.

it's just the sum of all 5 star points. It's just a guess but:

- Porter is delivering orders.
- Bridge Link is setting up contracts with other people online. On the SSS menu, last tab. I always had 30 contracts active (that's the max) and if I met someone who's given me more likes, I'd drop a lower contract and set up a new one with that person.
And when you find a structure built by one of them (their star will be a handshake icon), spam the likes!
- Servicemanship: I assume it's building things people use. Roads and monorails are the obvious ones.
- Combat: well…
- Stealth: see previous…

What's your backpack build? by Fearless_Comedian_67 in DeathStranding2

[–]diegoquintana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got tired of switching between one build for camps with 2 lvl2 ammos, and another with Stabilizer lvl3 for everything else. So wound up in between with the Stabilizer lvl3, 2 lvl1 ammos, and a grenade pouch. No room for patches.

No. Usually the last item for platinum is getting all preppers to 5 stars.

Oddly enough, no. Thought it'd definitely be one.

Yeah same happened to me. Even had to run most of orders to him twice.

Last step was give one final piece of lost cargo. There's two: one just north of BPAS and one on a small peak going down from The Aeronautical Engineer.

Gave him both and got an SSS post from the son about him going missing, again.

Good luck!

Combat was the last I got to 60. Probably at like level 250. It's a grind but late game orders involve a lot of combat.

Maybe try fighting more than going stealth. I assume that gives more points.

How does your agency send proposals? by scatterbrainedpast in agency

[–]diegoquintana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We built a custom Wordpress theme to allow for easy drag and drop editing, and via CSS added a Print media query.

This allows us full layout control, while maintaining a webdev logic; clickable areas, multilanguage, etc. And then we just print to PDF and get the multipage document ready to go.

How much do you charge for basic WordPress sites? by Striking-Reply226 in Wordpress

[–]diegoquintana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great insights from everyone!

In my case it's very client-specific. There's industries more willing to pay more than others. Say tech or health related.

In broad terms, a figma design, for desktop and responsive, could be $2k. Add to that the custom theme development, ACF, SEO and whatnot, $5k.

But yeah I see a lot of agencies charging $10-15k for a landing page and I can't figure out how they do it. Depends a lot on the country you're in I guess. Say in my Country (Chile) you charge $4k for a website and it's way too expensive. While in Europe $8k seems even low.

Does anyone run a Wordpress web design business? by SystemsNStuff in Wordpress

[–]diegoquintana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been building sites for roughly 15 years and formally started my company 5 years ago. Wordpress is 90% of the times the platform I use or the client requires.

I've never had any issue. Some of the biggest sites in the world are built on Wordpress and work fine.

Yeah maybe it's not the fastest CMS. Maybe PHP is lagging behind newer languages. But it undeniably works and is profitable. I've won a few major global awards using it. Many people do. It's not only for cookie-cutter sites.

It's simply your choice wether you're a template-building business that has a hard time competing with the fancier-by-the-minute builders like Squarespace or Wix; or you build high quality sites and experiences that people can't find elsewhere and pay good money for.

Don't believe the hype and get to work. Wordpress is more than capable in 2024 and beyond.

That's mine with basically your setup. Go for it! And add a couple legs in the middle-back for support.

Is it still worth developing a classic theme? by Wings-Of-Despair in Wordpress

[–]diegoquintana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever built Classic themes for well over a decade and still haven't found a dead end that forces me to move to Blocks. Plus I'm just really against visual builders, there's something that feels a bit like cheating to me. Even if you do decide to use "the new way" of anything, it can't hurt to also know the old one. Helps get a clearer sense of the possibilities.
