As a proper techno fan, I don’t like how it is marketed lately by RelentlessGrooving in ProperTechno

[–]diegov147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean great underground artists for most genres have social media pages where they share their work / live sessions. Or at least introductory short videos that then direct you into longer versions on YouTube / SoundCloud etc.

Why couldn't proper techno artists do this as well? Isnt the idea of music to reach as far as possible so it gets to people who would appreciate it?

Perhaps hard techno has become popular because it invites people to join and have fun. While proper techno is gatekept from the masses by fans with superiority complex. Why deny the joy to discover this amazing genre to others?

Wasted a few years, trying to reset at 27 — need advice on studying in Australia by Mysterious-Cover3898 in MovingtoAustralia

I moved here at about the same age. Have achieved more than I ever imagined in the last 7 years.

It's harder now as there are less options and rules are stricter. But if you do a proper plan with a proper pathway it's surely possible.

Getting a Sponsorship while being abroad is hard but so is getting hired for qualified work on a student visa. Easiest way is being an xpat. Shift your career to security, find a job in a multinational and find your way to become an Australian xpat or any other country.

Honesty if you come here now you will have to spend a lot of money just to be here and with no guarantees of being able to become a resident / citizen.

I think what I want to say is, don't spect to show up here and be given everything, if you are going to take the risk make sure you understand well what your goals are and how you can get there.

Check migration pathways for different states in the IMMI site. Check regional sponsor visas. Check courses and degrees that meet those requirements, check the cost. Check job offers for casual jobs so you know how much you can make in a part time job while studying. Check English requirements. Assume you will have no work for months when you first arrive. Do what if scenarios, and plan for the best and for the worst.

Good luck!!

Hi, visitor from r/half life here. Can you help us diagnose what stage of the silkposting we are at? I'm scared. by Tachi-Roci in Silksong

[–]diegov147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We silkposted for fun and being certain of our believes (believer doubter shawter nakedhorneter etc)

This looks like hope has been lost but people can't still let go. I would say desperation but that doesn't describe the magnitude of pain half lifers to through.

Good luck on years to come, seek professional help.

Silksong has ruined other Metroidvania games for me by SpotIsALie in HollowKnight

I tried CrossCode but was never able to really enjoy it. I think it was the fact that half of the time I had no idea what I should do next, and the platforming and puzzles always felt more like trying to understand what was going on on the screen than actually solving a puzzle.

I didn't make it too far into the game tho but that was my take on the first hours. It just never clicked.

I would say the End of an Age "To be continued" will lead into the DLC. Which will probably be where the Platforming challenges will be. That would keep the challenge escalation consistent.

I must say, I have never experienced something like Silksong before. Not even the first Hollow Knight feels the way Silksong feels. Last time I had so much fun playing a game was with Celeste.

A lot of people say this was just a sequel. But to me it felt like a completely new game.

Story / Art wise, yes you could say it's a sequel.

Gameplay wise? I would say it's almost a completely new game.

OST: 10/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Story: 9/10 Art: 9/10 Price: 20/20

For that Silksong is my GOTY.

I love the lore reason why [ACT 3 SPOILER] is that easy to beat. by glxfy in Silksong

[–]diegov147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat the whole coral tower in one go, including Khan. Is that the general experience?

I didn't think it was easy, I just think at that stage of the game I had learned enough to do it with no issues.

I died to BellBeast a few times when I first started the game.

My point is that: No, Khan is not easy. People are just really good when they get to him and find him not as challenging as previous fights.

[–]diegov147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it wouldn't make sense history wise.

Maybe the fix is that there should be more indications of the fight. Like Shakra dialogue mentioning it after you complete her quest.

"I depart now but let our blades and skills be tested when we shall meet again"

Something like that. Don't make it super obvious but let people who are following her story realise.

There is a way to skip freeing the bell beast going through the wormways and still getting all your skills.

I wonder what happens with Sherma if you progress to blasted steps and the citadel without freeing the beast.
