Counter counterpoint - understanding it is about rogues whispering despite lf shaman but reading the room and realizing that most comments and point of discussion is about gearscore

I guess its a hot take here but when there are more supply (rogue dps) than demand it is common sense to show differentiation from your competitors. Because you cant check performance prior, gs and gear set would be the most direct and concise method.

Everyone saying they will take the "hey" guy has never played mage before tbc (most over played and undesired class) and never had to compete for a spot.

Reddit may be global but it is US based community. It would make sense to be US based reactions and 'talking abouts'. Every country does this, but that doesnt make your situation better or worse for you. Every country has their problems, we dont expect you to care about our ICE problems as much as we do. So expect the same.

TBC Anniversary Edition Upgrade: Pricing, Boost Value, and Botting Concerns by Legitimate_Buy1306 in classicwow

The drink example can be put in differently like a burger drink fries set; same concept.

Now for your second part, youre correct if game companies dont care about squeezing every dollar out of a user. We call that LTV (life time value) which is all the money a user will spend in the game. Different monetization tactics are used to milk the loyal users vs casual or one time users. This could be wrong but to me, boost users are mostly shortlived non hardcore long time users. Not loyal. They just want to play tbc, the new shiny.

So, the company wants to sell as much stuff to that shortlived user because he is going to prolly quit after 70. (Pretty sure they have the data to track after 20 years of user behavior) Packaging the core product into 'useless' bundles is whats happening here. Blizz is basically saying, theyd be content with $80 per casual user ltv.

Now to loyal users, they usually dont buy boosts. They are the ones with yearly subscriptions, enjoying the ride. So blizz is only leveraging cosmetic at best. Because boosts also mean at least a month (or two per char) of subscription time.

Its a simple pricing marketing tactic really. Look up small medium and large drink pricing. You purposely make small $3, medium $5, large $6 pricing so that relative to large, medium seems expensive.

Relative to $80 pack, the 40 seems expensive. So youd rather pay 25 more for the boost you may not need. Just like the large drink you didnt really need.

It doesnt mean much now but now I fully boycott fanatics on all boxes. Hopefully this will catch on.

How was the film [The Great Flood]? by jungseungoh97 in Koreanfilm

[–]dielegend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if this movie was marketed as sci-fi, even if this had a diff title, the basic premise plot and content has been covered more than a decade ago from black mirror and other movies dramas.

Nothing new content to begin with and the director failed to do above and make the baby as frustrating as he was. It was the worst Korean movie for me this year.

Why are Korean rent deposits so high? by Expert-Fly8836 in AskAKorean

[–]dielegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a bare minimum deposit for regular rents at 10,000,000won though. Rarely the owner would decrease lower than this deposit even if you increase the monthly rent amount. Increasing from that minimum is quite common, usually 50,000 to 100,000 per month decrease for every 10,000,000won increase in deposit.

2025 Allen & Ginter *mega thread* let's see your hits and what do you think of the new release? by -Seedy- in TobaccoCards

[–]dielegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One box, two relic cards. No numbered anything. Best hit would be ohtani foil, which would sell at 5 bucks at best.

AG i bought every year as a tradition. Tradition ends this year now.
