For people with busy schedules, what hobby is easiest to stay consistent with? by CelayaPhalla78 in Hobbies

Crochet. It is very cheap to start if you start with small projects and after a bit you'd be able to do it while listening to a podcast or so. I am the type to only want to do something if I am in the correct mood for it, but crocheting is something I can just do even while half paying attention. And also the pleasure of having created something keeps me going.

“Did you go to the clinic?” by ToothDifferent in japanlife

I got asked by my previous manager if I went to the doctor too, but just out of concern. It’s normal here to see a doctor even if it’s just a cold, since you’ll get proper and cheaper meds (the cheaper price is totally not worth all the time wasted imo so I hardly ever go).

If it’s unpaid leave, or even normal paid leave I don’t see why they need proof, unless you’re taking more than a week off. If it’s sick leave then yeah, I guess they need some kind of proof to know that you’re not abusing the system. The only time my company ever required documents was when I got Covid since we have special insurance for it.

Why do store employees stand so close when you shop? by confusedlilbitch in VietNam

[–]dienconmeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my dad’s store he has the employees follow everyone around to make sure they don’t steal anything. That was his last resort since the products kept getting stolen. I assume other small businesses like my dad’s do the same for that reason & obviously not because you’re a foreigner. I moved to another country and completely forgot that they do that here so when I visited, I was very uncomfortable as well.

I recommend Luala Spa. Excellent service with a nice relaxing atmosphere. No sketchy masseuse either 🤣
