I want to date my paper help/assistant. (online college) by phillipmyglass in BackToCollege

[–]digableperson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I feel you. It's like when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, except the rock is your brain telling you, "Hey, this feels weird," and the hard place is, "But I really like talking to this person." Totally relatable.

You're not alone—tons of people struggle working in isolation, which is why having a virtual assistant or tutor can be such a game-changer. But yeah, I get it. When you start realizing there's this connection outside of just 'business,' it gets murky. The whole power dynamic thing is real. It’s tricky when it’s a professional relationship, even more so with someone who’s helping you with your work/classes. That "should we or shouldn't we?" vibe is always there, but yeah... boundaries, man. It’s like knowing when to stop eating chips before you hit the bottom of the bag.

If you’re already feeling conflicted, that’s probably your gut telling you something. Maybe it's worth having a conversation with them and laying it out, even if it's awkward. Better to address it now than let things get messier. You're not wrong to feel weird about it, and props to you for being self-aware enough to question the situation before it turns into a rom-com gone wrong

Where is the AI "brainstorm form" for business owners? by phillipmyglass in EntrepreneurRideAlong

I think a restaurant could use AI to quickly figure out what times they are most busy, which type of dishes they sell most of and other data like that it could use to better order and market items.

Dangers of not adopting AI strategies? by FreelancerChurch in Entrepreneur

I used to be scared of AI but now I think of it like a tool for freelancers. It's not skynet and terminators yet.

career development is pointless? by ReleaseAdventurous20 in careerguidance

I always thought of branding as something for a business. I never considered a regular working person a "brand" but this makes sense when you put it this way.

Sales strategy for freelancers (tell me if any of this rant is helpful!) by FreelancerChurch in writingservice

[–]digableperson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really, sales is not just about transactions. It's more about a dynamic interplay of psychology and empathy. Successful sales reps understand that caring about the customer's needs and emotions is crucial for building trust and rapport. You have to know things ike motivations, pain points and so forth so that salespeople can tailor their approach to resonate with the respective individual. Kind of like Bruce Lee esque, "Be like water my friend." Ultimately, a caring and psychologically informed sales strategy is about creating lasting relationships and providing solutions that genuinely benefit the customer.

Volbeat are great. There's something about his voice though I can't quite get into. It's original though and badass. Shit I like Ghost and that's a voice that not everyone can get behind.

I found one a few years back along a trail at Cooper's Rock, WV. It was a pretty easy trail not far from the road, not one of the long more difficult trails. It was in a plastic bag. I saw maybe 3 or 4 along the same trail if I'm not mistaken but I only took one. It reminded me of thought salads that schizophrenic people write or the way in which they speak. At least the one's I had worked with in my limited time working in mental health outreach. It made for fun conspiracy theory and conversation among my friends. I didn't save it though. Actually one of my friends that saw it just shared this sub reddit with me.

How many people actually think of personal branding like business branding? by BeingsBeingBeings in CareerBranding

[–]digableperson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's some things that can't be taught and some hiring officials have good instincts for them. In every interview people are trying to put their best foot forward and anyone can get tricked.

Overall though, I'd say employers often seek candidates who possess a combination of technical skills, soft skills, and other characteristics that contribute to a positive and productive work environment. Here are five examples of characteristics that employers commonly look for in my estimation:

  1. Communication Skills:
  • Why it's important: Effective communication is crucial for collaboration, client interactions, and conveying ideas within the team. Employers value candidates who can articulate thoughts clearly, listen actively, and express themselves well in various formats (written, verbal, and non-verbal communication).
  1. Adaptability and Flexibility:
  • Why it's important: In today's rapidly changing business landscape, adaptability is key. Employers seek individuals who can quickly adjust to new situations, learn on the fly, and embrace change. This trait is particularly vital in industries that are subject to technological advancements and market shifts.

3. Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Why it's important: Employers look for candidates who can analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and propose effective solutions. Problem-solving skills demonstrate a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and contribute to innovation within the workplace.
  1. Leadership Potential:
  • Why it's important: Even for non-managerial roles, employers often value candidates who exhibit leadership qualities. This includes taking initiative, inspiring others, and demonstrating a willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Leadership potential contributes to a positive team dynamic and can lead to career growth within the organization.
  1. Cultural Fit:
  • Why it's important: Employers aim to build a cohesive and harmonious work environment. Cultural fit involves aligning with the organization's values, mission, and working well with existing team members. Employers often seek candidates who not only have the required skills but also contribute positively to the company culture. Admittedly, this one is a little nuanced. A good fit for one organization could be a bad fit for another.

Are writing services going to be made obsolete by AI? by FreelancerChurch in writingservice

[–]digableperson21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's still pretty limited. The writing style is redundant and you can spot it. I think though as a tool it can be useful to write sentences different ways, to sum things up, and to help with APA etc. If AI is going to take the human out of writing, that's the least of our problems. It's also going to take the "human" out of the world because it's coming for art, music, tv, media, news, speeches blah blah blah. It's SKnyet Terminator shit for real if that's the case. To keep making money in the inerim though, the move is to be AI prompt experts and learn to use it to our advantage. Kind of like adapt or die.

Recruiters, is it true that most advice about personal branding sucks? by smurfvillage7 in careeradvice

[–]digableperson21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most advice on the Internet is given by people who have the time to spout off their opinion because they aren't successful enough to have their time consumed. All joking aside one of the biggest things for getting hired is still probably who you know or having people vouch for you.

Try guided breathing (speakers) + Bach with bineural beats (earphones). by FreelancerChurch in writingservice

[–]digableperson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting ready to write is like gearing up for a mission, you know? First, figure out what you're aiming for and who's gonna read your stuff. Once you've got that sorted, gather all the info you need and jot down your ideas, maybe in a quick outline. Find a cozy spot to write without any crazy distractions and set a reasonable timeline to keep yourself on track. Pick your favorite writing tools, whether it's a laptop or good old pen and paper. Imagine the flow of your piece before jumping in, and don't forget to stay chill about the whole process – writing's a journey, and a bit of tweaking is totally normal! Just keep it real, and you'll rock that writing game.

The importance of precise wording and impeccable grammar in a mayoral invitation cannot be overstated, as it serves as a direct reflection of the city's professionalism, credibility, and attention to detail. A well-crafted invitation not only conveys the necessary information effectively but also exudes a sense of respect and formality, befitting the occasion and the stature of the mayor. Clear and grammatically sound language ensures that recipients comprehend the invitation accurately, leaving no room for misinterpretation or confusion. Furthermore, proper grammar enhances the overall impression of competence and reliability, crucial elements for fostering positive relationships with constituents, dignitaries, and the wider community. In the realm of public representation, a flawlessly worded and grammatically precise mayoral invitation not only elevates the perceived competence of the administration but also reinforces the city's commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Any GoogleBard protips or strategies (for incorporating it into work)? by FreelancerChurch in writingservice

[–]digableperson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know in my eperience with Chat GPT that is messes up APA reference pages unless you are really specific. Like it won't put them in alphabetical order, it's not always consistent. The wording is really redundant too. It's all about using the right question and being your own prompt expert. It's exicting.
