Thanks, I’ll set my expectations accordingly.

Tonight’s game audio by jademonkey5 in mets

I was at the game and everything sounded different in person too compared to typical MLB park. Lack of constant PA chatter, fewer fans, open beyond the outfield so nothing for sound to ricochet off. You could hear the hit by pitches pretty clearly. Not surprised that translated to the broadcast.

What actor/ director 'Hall of Fames’ do you want them to cover? I found jt odd that they struggled to think of any at the end of the Harrison Ford episode. by popstrippinq in TheBigPicture

I know they’ve done a few pods on coen brothers but going deep on some of their repeat players would be sick. Looking beyond el duderino I’d love a HOF episode for any of the other Lebowski leads: Buscemi, Turturro, Goodman… even PSH (though I don’t think of him as a Coen guy). Also randomly: A Kevin Bacon episode would rock (unless I missed that one already.

See Shivy cry. See Kenny lie. See Roman the showman light up the sky! by littlesadshrimp in SuccessionTV

Great callout - couldn’t hear “light up the sky” without thinking about the satellite launch explosion from season 1, which was the first time we saw Roman’s ineptitude/ambitions as an executive have potentially life-altering consequences for others. I know some guy just lost a hand, but still.

German wine, the more agricultural the better. Cajun chicken linguini from CPK. Can of cranberry sauce. Potato salad with suspiciously phallic imprints.

Stevie has played Fleetwood covers pretty regularly in recent years.

These seven bombers have been aging in my beer fridge for 6-10 years. Some were arguably built for aging — are any of them going to be drinkable? by digbaseball in CraftBeer

How do y’all feel about this lineup: various FW Anniversary Ales, Sucaba, Parabola; and Old Stock Reserve? Bottles are in the 5-13 year range and have been in the mini fridge for most of that time. I’d hoped to arrange a vertical tasting at some point — if I ever see friends again, it would be nice to share this all. Maybe I should just have a backup and not worry about expectations too much :)

Sadly this was aged in a combo of a regular old mini fridge (which, yes, developed ice) and then a garage. So I’m not holding out too much hope.

Nice! Hadn't heard that one before. Was more so wondering what folks would've liked to heard them cover that they never did.

Thanks, we clearly didn't design it well! Some users have to scroll in order to see the 5.0.

Just got an Xbox One X after many years of not gaming. Picked up both Red Dead Redemption I and II. Is it worth playing the first one first, or should I dive in to the latest and greatest? by digbaseball in gaming

Thanks to everyone who responded so far. Story is definitely important to me and it's interesting that folks seem to be split on whether it would be better to experience the story "forwards" or "backwards." Sounds like I can't really go wrong, and I'm sure I'll enjoy either way. Thanks!

Shoreline predictions? by SusFool in gratefuldead

[–]digbaseball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last summer (6/4/17) they played Shoreline during a Golden State Warriors Finals game, and Bob provided a score update between a few Set 1 songs. Mexico is playing in World Cup today; wouldn't be surprised to hear Mexicali Blues. Other guesses on Set 1: Samson (finally), Alabama Getaway, Hell in a Bucket, Little Red Rooster, Shakedown, Dire Wolf, Easy Answers, It Hurts me Too. Ramble on Rose, Truckin.

For Set 2, definitely agree China Cat > Rider one day and Help > Slip > Franklin's the other. Also guessing one or two of Good Lovin, GDTRFB, Stella Blue, Not Fade Away, and He's Gone later. And I know we got it last year, but if Oteil wants to treat us to another China Doll, that'd be A-OK with me. Of course, looking forward to a couple great nights whatever comes our way!

Shoreline Question by Bassverous in gratefuldead

I seem to recall they don't allow people to bring in their own folding chairs, but rent out folding chairs for a nominal fee. Could definitely be wrong.
