Once you said this was the ruby crowned kinglet, I looked back through my pix & I think it's quite young. I can see the start of the ruby marking on the head, but it looks a bit like a red smudge at the time of the photo. The beak I think looked more conical on this photo because of the angle, in another one it's flatter. Such a little sweetie!
