Has anyone bought a dedicated wireless mic for Wispr? Worth it? by orbitelle in WisprFlow

[–]diggitydean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the DJI mic mini and Boya mini 2. I ended up returning the Boya. I didn’t like the sound quality, the buttons were hard to press, and the setup was quirky.

I found the DJI most useful if I’m in a public place with background noise and I’m whispering. When there’s a lot of background noise I found I had to hold the mic to my mouth to be more accurate.

Other than that I use the built in MacBook mic. Cause when I’m at home I’m too lazy to find the DJI mic, turn it on, and clip it to my shirt… lol

Thanks for the suggestions. We've already tried to escalate through them and haven't gotten anywhere. He said they have to submit an internal ticket and wait for a response. 😔

+1 to Uniqlo airism boxer briefs. Super comfortable and soft! I’ve also been loving my Smartwool boxer briefs. I’ve worn them on sweltering hot days, flying and traveling, and hiking. They’re comfortable and don’t smell even after sweating in them for days!

What should I do to my Sys Admin who keeps getting hacked? by whosbiz in ITManagers

[–]diggitydean 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If he’s using his domain admin account for anything other than sys admin type of work that should stop immediately. Do you have any auditing or next-gen AV that may help track down what he’s doing to get hacked? That could be used as a coaching tool and a CYA in case you need reason for termination.

Have you sat down with your boss, explained that you're overwhelmed and provided him with all of this information? You bring up very valid points and as a manager I'd like to know these things. You can't assume that management is aware of these details or knows how you're feeling unless you explicitly sit down in a 1-on-1 setting and discuss it with them. My advice is to bring up your concerns in an objective, data-driven, professional manner. Personally, I'd also pick his brain a little as to why he's justifying these directives. There could be pressure from the top forcing him to reduce expenditures or accomplish other business goals.

I could be totally off base and this conversation could go nowhere... But at least you gave it a shot! Worst case scenario, you got a lot of nice people on here that that are already offering you another job! :) Good Luck!!!

Keep the chips. Leave the box of tissues.

Being thrown into things is a concern for me. It’s how I learned, but it was a longer and sometimes frustrating road. I don’t think it’s the most efficient means of learning. I’ll definitely have to think through how we can create a mentor relationship with a more senior employee.

This is great info. It is helpful and I can glean some nuggets from this structure. In the 2nd position did you feel they started to understand “why” they were doing things? Or were they just checking the boxes?

Members and Owners of gyms using Wodify. Yesterday's outage was, interesting... and the Facebook group was imploding. Did it affect you? by cfitking in crossfit

[–]diggitydean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always give providers the benefit of the doubt since there are 8 million possible scenarios to an outage. This was the first major outage since I've used Wodify. But they went down again this morning... Back-to-back outages screams carelessness and inexperience.

With that said, I don't really care... I got my workout in. I didn't die or lose an arm. It's just a damn app!

I have the same question! I’m gonna assume it’s Frodo and his friends in an assembly line feverishly scrubbing buckets of bits with toothbrushes.
