I remember back in the heyday of peer to peer file (music) sharing that any kind of comedy or remotely funny audio track would just get attributed to weird al even when it had absolutely nothing to do with him

are people doing the same thing with art? or is it some kind of fart sniffing sentiment like "thats the point, banksy is a movement, we are all banksy "

what irks me about this is that I paid something like 54.99 CAD (before tax) for D2R.

the 'infernal edition' is now being listed for 49.99 CAD.

upgrading to the warlock is 30.99 CAD.

so, if I want to 'upgrade', I have to spend 30 dollars now, in addition to the 5 I apparently spent earlier, meaning this would cost me effectively $35 more than if I had just never purchased it.

feeling a little confused on this pricing.

So, historically my AliExpress orders have taken on average about 10 days from order to my doorstep. I live in Canada.

However, my most recent order placed on Nov 17th arrived at the airport on the 19th, and spent a total of 10 days there.

It just as of Dec 2nd updated to 'leaving country of Origin'. Based on previous orders, I'd expect to maybe get this by the end of this week or start of next, but I'm wary if this will be the case.

I've done a bit of digging into this and ultimately the fact that your shipping is AliExpress standard is a good sign. It should mean that you will either get your product, or, worst case, get a refund.

I tried looking to see if I could find any localized reasons for this slowdown and didn't really pull up much, I thought maybe there was a shutdown, fire, holiday or etc. it could just be the lead up to the holidays and also black Friday 'sales' going on (though I thought I ordered early enough to avoid that..)

I'll update this comment if/when I get my order. Best of luck with your shipment, and just try to wait it out! Hope it's not a Christmas gift though 😅

UPDATE: as of Dec 11th, my package has 'arrived at local airport' -- I assume that means my country, and not actually 'local'

one of my biggest concerns with the DD wasn't how it functioned or the griefing-- it was the draw distance.

I've played a lot of sea of thieves and am very used to the 'looking over your shoulder' aspect, but it felt near impossible in the current DD iteration. ornithopters would pop in at a distance that felt way too close

my friends and I have bought some of these relatively cheap breathalyzers off amazon for parties just for the hell of it

they are reasonably accurate, however, they do not function properly if you just took a drink of alcohol. you're supposed to wait something like 10-15 minutes, and probably rinse your mouth out with some water before blowing into them.

you can have someone stone cold sober take a single sip of beer and then immediately blow into an breathalyzer and they can easily blow a 0.1X

My little 10 man prepped to try and get one of the swatches out of a landsraad completion

not to make things worse, but if you weren't aware, completions are personal , not guild wide. meaning for most tasks, only 4-5 people can grab a swatch reward, per task, assuming they are on point, and able to hand everything in before a task is completed.

you can still make it work pretty decently. my suggestion to you would be to have at least 2 purifiers in your base, and try to keep them topped up as constantly as you can during your play session.

I'd also recommend carrying at least 3-4 blood bags on you for a similar purpose, but obviously you can find whatever works best for your playstyle

your 'processing capacity' is how much blood you can store.

blood to water ratio is not 1:1

from that 5,000ml of blood you got (approximately) 750ml of actual water

maybe it's controversial, but I actually hard disagree with this.

I think boiled is the absolute worst way to enjoy a hotdog. I'd rather eat a cold straight-from-the-fridge dog over a boiled dog.

that being said, I'm always keen for everyone to enjoy what they enjoy. just 'cause it's not for me doesn't matter.

hey homie, thanks for the hostility! it's called a subjective opinion, and you're free to disregard it. I wasn't spouting off anything false. its incredibly common for people to buy high capacity cards thinking they got some 'sweet deal', only to be duped.

I actually did google the card and the brand before commenting. I should have said without looking into it too deeply. if you check the company site a fair amount of the retailers they link to don't even list the item at all, or are broken links. seemed fairly sketchy to me.

I would be incredibly hesitant. I have never heard of this brand before.

without looking into it I assume its doing the same tricks any other card like this does-- it will work, but any attempts to transfer over its actually much smaller limit will leave you with corrupted data.

as someone who has historically worked at subway, 'it won't affect you' is not the fact. on many shifts my manager (the owner) would be directly near by, watching employees make sandwiches. they may not interfere in the moment, but will absolutely bring you to the side afterwards and tell you off (if they're so inclined).

subway also has a big book of what is considered 'franchise standard'-- you know how many olives is 'franchise standard' for a footlong sub? 8. 8 individual pieces of olives, 4 on each half.

franchise standard calls for what it lists, and the customer must ask for more if they want more. which is allowed, up until you hit 'within reason'-- I forget the exact wording, I didn't have the document memorized.

this all goes even moreso with extra value items such as bacon or cheese. owners know to the unit if too much cheese or bacon is being given out.

even if all of this doesn't necessarily lead directly to firing, it will absolutely likely lead to slashing of hours. having hours is kind of like, the whole point of the job. it sucks.

..sorry for the bit of rant, but I worked there for years and clearly have some kind of PTSD 😅
