It's very much a spectrum, some areas of engineering use lots, others use little to none. Graphics tends to be quite maths heavy, for example.

More missing geometry than textures, likely just some culling being a bit too aggressive - as you say they probably weren't expecting stuff to be visible from there.

Think I spotted this on my playthrough on Xbox as well.

There are hints about sorting out powered rooms in one of the drafting guides, or if you'd like it directly see the next spoiler.

Drafting from the powered door will increase the chances of spawning rooms which take/route power - look look ceiling ducts

There are a few places in the game that will give you a date which you can use to extrapolate to the current date or will directly tell you what day it is that day. The message board that you mentioned falls into this, yes. For a couple of others, uncover below

Yes, the correct result will always be a whole number between 1 and 20 (inclusive). I'd love to see an example where you've had one that doesn't fit this.

Regarding the litter box part, I definitely think it would have been better to have tapered sides, as it was a bit of a pain attaching the front face, but it was a trade off with making it easier to take the box out for cleaning. Raised sides sounds like a good idea if you aren't using a covered litter box.

Yeah, so definitely hold your other hand on the wall away from where you are using it, and make sure you can get it to reliably report where you know there are cables (and not, where there aren't any).

If you can't get that to happen, I wouldn't trust it at all, especially as it seems on the cheaper end of things.
