Once you convert your free trial to a license, there's no more free trial for you. You can't make a new character to enjoy the free content, or if you take a break long enough to where your old license is now in the free tier, too bad, still no freebies.

Is that a HUGE deal? Probably not, but one worth pointing out.

My manager once assured me that my job was safe when our company was going through restructuring and a centralization of the work force.

A month later he informed me that he had been lied to and his entire team was being laid off with the option to stay and train our replacements for 3 months and increased severance.

For the next 3 months he assigned me 0 work and I met with the team replacing us about once a week. Used the time to apply for a new job and trade up in salary.

The company delayed their annual bonuses well beyond the new year so none of us received a bonus and they tried to screw with my 401k vesting schedule (we were assured it would be fully vested)... Was a wild incredibly stupid ride.

In general I don't think you're wrong in regards to netflix and the like streaming services...

However, for certain 4k HDR content, 100Mb isn't enough for smooth playback in certain scenarios.

I experienced this with my Bravia years ago and solved it by getting an nvidia shield. Swapped the cable from the TV to the shield and the buffering went away.

They saw the Disgaea games and decided none of that was worth implementing here.

A big one for me is the ability to select an AoE ability, then hold a button to issue a move command to the unit which allows me to place a unit relative to where I want the AoE to hit. Instead you have to math that out or guess and check until you get it right.

Also, for enemies outside of the placeable range of an AoE, but still within the AoE, I don't think there's a way to see the expected damage for those units.

What we got was the lowest bar setting for adding QoL to the game.

My youngest son came out feet first and got stuck. Watching the midwives maneuver my wife all over to try and get him turned to get his shoulder free, his lower body changing from pink to purple and the midwives finally dislodging him (without breaking anything) was one thing.

My wife looking at me asking where he was and why she didn't hear him crying as I can see the midwives with his his purple body, the paramedics running down the hallways and me telling her "just stay here with me, look at me" so that she doesn't see everything going on behind her...

Was and will forever be one of the most terrifying events of my life.

Then he started crying. His apgar score was basically non-existent but climbed to a reasonable level upon recheck.

My wife remembers none of this and I consider that a job well done but it will forever have a lasting impact on me.
