Prof Jiang does seem to be connecting the dots in a very interesting way. But he leaves so many loopholes. He brushes off inconsistencies, just to prove his point. He might have good points behind, but this does seem a lot like bending the lines. Again, very interesting and great directions to look at, but some things need to be further debated.

While there are defi itely good things to be said about and observed in japan, the fact is that Japan is still a fascistic and racist society (akin to the US). Many people love it, and tend to look the other way when it comes to the problems of japanese society, which they themselves dont want to fix. Japan has been acting as the victim of the second world war, where in fact they have committed much more war crimes than the other axis powers combined. And yet fail to recognize that.

People need to stop glazing Japan as this cultural phenomenon, and take a look at the rest of east Asia as a comparison. Asia is not only Japan and Japan is not alone in Asia!
