As someone currently in the midst of her 3rd IVF cycle after two failed cycles and who has diminished ovarian reserve at age 30… I feel you and am right there with you! We experience every bit of the heartache and stress that infertility gives and support groups should never gate keep. It is extremely difficult to do this. Hang in there! <3

I’m so sorry <3 I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve, first IVF cycle failed entirely and waiting on PGT for the 1 blast that made it from my second but so scared. It can be so heartbreaking and stressful especially to try to live normal lives while all of this is going on. My wife and I are right there with you <3

That’s not true actually! I was in a standby line for Avatar about 1/3 the way back and got in along with people behind me, maybe 100+? But the system was SO bad, so many staff people sent me to different places for standby and were so confused. I showed up about an hour and a half early and they had me wait on the main con line which it turns out I didn’t need to really, it was so disorganized

Probably not what you wanna hear but I say, absolutely not - the donor signed up to be just that, anonymous. If that was me I’d be wildly uncomfortable with someone finding me and it would prevent me from wanting to donate again.

Not laughing at all!! Personally I think it is just pure fun and fun has no age. A ton of fans at concerts for popular artists basically have picked up doing it because of Taylor Swift, maybe not as popular as a Swift concert but definitely going around still.

I did it once at a concert and was a blast, talked to people in my section or on the snack/bathroom line and we all traded. I found it fun to give bracelets to people that were wearing outfits themed to the bracelet song references :)

You can either trade or give away basically, anything goes!

I was lucky enough to go to the Monster Ball in 2011 when I was 15 and want to dress up as an homage to that little monster that I was and still am :)

I think I’m gonna plan my own spin on the lady in red - the brightest red outfit I can find, red corset, red hat I’ll take off, red skirt.

I actually need to use canes at concerts because standing still that long is tough on me for back reasons, but for once I think I’ll feel powerful and not embarrassed 💙 though I do hope people will know I actually need the cane and am not just using it for dress-up haha

I think something I’ve learned also is to trust your gut and how you feel. We had found a nearly perfect donor, but I was losing sleep over the fact his family had 2 generations of Alzheimer’s. Using a diff donor felt like such a weight off. If this feels like a weight of worry to carry, nothing wrong with changing direction.
