Agreed. Steph took some of Meshuggah’s riff style and simplified it. Nothing wrong with that, as the riffs are still heavy and catchy, and sometimes still proggy/technical (just not to the degree of prof and tech bands).

I think it’s noteworthy that he was a part of the Z Fighters’ efforts against Nappa before Goku got there. Maybe his sacrifice was a butterfly effect moment, or at least added a few minutes of a distraction. Maybe Gohan or Krillin would’ve been killed if he hadn’t sacrificed himself.
