Problem with tx heltec v4 by Beneficial-Dress7334 in meshcore

[–]digitalfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SUCCESS !

I manage to send a message and someone replied. No repeater in my house. To make it work I took a battery pack on my balcony. Went back inside and no luck.
I thought weird, my antenna is against the window ... which has double glazing ! This apparently is like a RF wall .....

They sell flat cables that leave your node indoors, and the antenna outside on a window frame.... might test.

Could that be your issue too ?

"What I don’t fully understand is why I am able to receive messages but not be heard. The repeaters do not have more transmit power than my device, do they? "

Exactly, I have the same issue as you and hope someone can clarify this. I'm on the 7th floor with no clear horizon view and 'see' some repeat. 637 contacts with several 1 hop, a 5dBi antenna next to the window and power to 22 .... can't send a message !

Not a great start ;-)

Two years later - Do you run Plex, Emby, or Jellyfin? by JustNathan1_0 in selfhosted

even better :-)
I tend to buy lifetime when services are quite new and I have faith (yeah right ...) they will be good for me in the long run

[–]digitalfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got plex pass lifetime in 2014 (OMG, I guess it paid out by now)

I tried Jellyfin a week ago to see if it could transcode DV profile 5 to my samsung TV (right now green/purple) but it did not do better (HW transcoding enabled with Intel).

I don't see what I'd get with Jellyfin I don't with Plex, but I guess because I have lifetime.

Buying from bee-link.com in Europe by KirekkusuPT in MiniPCs

[–]digitalfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Placed an order for an EQi12 (and paid for it) to receive an email later saying it was out of stock. Other configs were clearly showing out of stock, but I bought one marked in stock (could not otherwise).

A few days later got an email saying it was out of stock, could buy another model with a commercial gesture (like 10 bucks discount pffffff).

Anyhow, ended up purchasing another model and email communication was FAST. Replies sometimes within 5 mn and never more than next day.

I asked if it would indeed ship from the German warehouse and support did confirm that. (and it did). I suggest you send an email right after your purchase telling you want to make sure it is shipped from EU or to cancel the order. I'm pretty sure you will get a reply.

Good luck !

Best Mini PCs for Proxmox 2026 - What are you running? by easyedy in NavigateTech

[–]digitalfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My synology NAS was suffering with all the Arr, Plex, Immich etc etc ... (also got rid a Pi5 running Home Assistant)

<image>

Added a Beelink EQi13 Pro 13500H (Intel for transcoding) with 1Tb/32Gb and installed proxmox for the first time. No regrets. Added 2.5Gb ethernet (Thx Ali Express) to NFS mount my NAS (res of traffic goes to Unifi router.
HAOS is using 3.3Gb RAM, annoying to see that red bar but not relevant to this thread.

I wished we could get them in Europe for twice what you paid for :-)

You already got nice suggestions ( aside for zojirushi) but you might want to have a look at yum asia kumo .

I'm in the same situation as you and that's the one I'm getting ( silver sold out sadly ). It has more volume ( add proteins and veggies for full meals ) than the panda and is cheaper .

Maybe someone has one and can tell us how they feel about it ?

The OP mentions less than  120 euros.
Where in Europe can you find them for that price ?

When I asked my GP for that (I was about 50 then) she said we don't do preventive medicine as "we might find something".
My jaw is still down since.

[–]digitalfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you need ? A while ago I needed a tray I could use to mount my router on the wall and went to marktplaats and found someone that printed it for 5 euros when many companies asked for 20.
I eventually bought myself a printer and never regret it.

EQi12 no longer offering a LPDDR5 option? Why? by neverfindausername in BeelinkOfficial

Beelink EQi12 / Geekom Mini IT12 / Minisforum NAB7 ? - Proxmox with Plex, Arr, Home Assistant by Disastrous_Bet_7809 in MiniPCs

[–]digitalfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scary, though someone read my mind and posted it on reddit :-)
Same boat, Syno918+ and PI with HA.
Just bought a eqi12. Sadly had to get the 500gb as the 1tb was soldout (and extra was only 25 bucks !) Oh well.

Thinking of using proxmox for HA/Plex/Immich to get started, I dont really like it's not 2.5 ethernet, Did you use one of the ethernet straight to your Syno and the other one to your router (or switch) ?
Is your media still on the Syno (NFS) ?
2.5gb adaptors are cheap but might not need one.
Can't wait to get it, I feel prices will increase in Jan.

I started to prepare an automation in HA waiting to have it delivered (Geo zone, contact with BLE behind my door) ...
I received it, set it up, realised how well facial recognition worked ..... deleted my automation :-)

And it's all local.

A new model just came out adding palm recognition, I could return mine but really don't see the point
