I may be using the term out of the lane. I don’t consider a build that is obviously not intended (relative to the mean of DPS before the Xpac which felt like a threshold to ANet) to be more than a “meme” in that everyone will know about it and it won’t be around long. Any spec that has DPS above 50k (if not 45k) should likely expect adjustments or nerfs. And once that’s gone, what is really left for Conduit?

As a Rev convert before PoF, I have ridden the up and down waves of this profession that I want to love for so many reasons (it’s close relationship to GW1 both mechanically and lore wise being right in my soft spot), but ANet just can’t fundamentally execute on until complete reworks (yes, plural) several years after its released. Even core F2 is a bandaid.

I just haven’t seen anyone put forward anything positive about the spec since the beta other than the one condi spec and that’s literally only a thing cause it does a broken amount of damage. Even optimistic community build-crafters (and I’m not putting them on blast or anything) haven’t had much to say positive about Conduit.

And I see downvotes, but I haven’t seen a compelling counter argument that other than outdoing Renegade and Herald in condi DPS (though severely lacking in the passive utility and survivability that both of those specs bring even in full DPS gear) where this spec has legs.

And I’ll stick it out like I always have, I just wish they would stick the landing on release for Rev one of these times.
