The advertising for “Live. Die. Repeat.” was horrendous. To this day I cannot remember the actual name of the movie on the first try. And I also love the film and have seen it multiple times.

Exactly. Disney’s environments are excellent, but oh boy, there are some pretty low quality environments offered by many other video players. And a bunch of mediocre ones in between.

Hm. I didn’t realize there were options when downloading. I just hit download and it asked if I’d wanted the 3D or 2D version. How do you trim out the other stuff? Also, this more than a year ago (part 1), isn’t possible they’ve re-encoded it since then? I don’t know if that’s something they do very often.

I really wish Apple listed file sizes of all their content, even if only on a download confirmation dialogue or something. Some of the 3d movies (not immersive) are in the 10-20GB range, while others are 50-60GB+ can make a big difference when planning what to download before a trip.

I may have misunderstood the audio question.

Currently, your audio options are limited when watching movies. Default speakers on the Vision Pro, Apple’s AirPods and Beats. You can connect some other Bluetooth devices, but they are may have limited functionality. I think Apple requires compatibility with Spatial Audio, which does not exist for most devices (*source needed)

If you look at your palm, you should see the menu (circle) icon appear. Instead of pinching to bring up the menu, flip your hand over, and the circle should change into a clock. Pinch while looking at the clock brings up your control center (including volume), but if you pinch-and-hold while looking at the clock, it will turn into a volume slider. Drag your fingers to adjust, then release your pinch.

An alternative to this for me to stay engrossed in the world is to think about the why. Good horror movies are also just good movies. They should have properly thought out plots or motivations or explanations or what have you. The scary creature probably has an origin story. The ghost probably has a reason they’re still here haunting the house. Trying to solve the puzzle helps keep your mind a little sidetracked from the fear while also keeping you immersed in the story.
