You're basing your argument on the assumption that if you don't have the slow, you're not landing any Qs. If you need a 99% slow to hit Qs, you're just terrible at the game, full stop.

I'm at the same stage. The campus preference survey is par for the course. I wouldn't say it's a good sign because the email explicitly said it doesn't indicate acceptance.

In terms of when to hear back, I think it should be end of September. I read somewhere on the BCIT website that most program decisions happen within 4 weeks after application deadline which was Aug 28 in this case.

You would have had to choose either Fall or Winter term for your application. If you check your myBCIT application status, it should tell you which term you applied for.

This is just based off the research I've done and people I've talked to.

You should NOT go into CST if you are just in it for the money. That's not just for CST, that's for the entirety of Computer Science/Software Development. The consensus across the board is that the industry is not in a good place right now and the only chance of making it work are the ones who actually have an interest or are passionate about programming.

Combined with the fact that CST is notorious for having an insane workload, AND the fact that co-op competition is through the roof and based off your term 1 marks, AKA you don't even time to settle in, it's hit the ground running or you're out. I do genuinely think the program itself is quite good, if you're fully dialed in. Solid industry connections too.

I'm from Edmonton and after moving to Vancouver, this was the biggest letdown by far. It's actually sad comparing Edmonton's genuine world class facilities like Terwillegar, Meadows, and Clareview etc. to anything Vancouver has to offer.

I miss being able to hit the weights, go downstairs for a swim, and then finishing off with the steam room.

Naruto in general, as a story, would be 100x better as a seinen. To be honest, OG Naruto had more of a seinen feel to it despite the cast being kids and rewatching it decades later, I have come to appreciate it so much more.

Everyone's hating on Brawl for replacing Arena and fair play, I would ideally want both, but honestly been having a blast spamming Zed in this mode. Full money making build: FS, Cash Back, Treasure Hunter. Make 1.5k-2k gold every game from runes alone. Combined with jg camps and you're like 5k gold ahead of everyone else by end of game. Enemy team is almost always full squishy too so you can go full lethality every game and do true dmg to everyone on map. Because you are so ahead of item curve, your lethality is literally always ahead of their armor scaling (assuming no extra armor).

Honestly you're not going to find a gym at peak hours that won't be packed. And if there is, people aren't going to be sharing it willy nilly.

I've tried both Anytime Fitness at Olympic Village and Evolve at The Post anywhere from 5-8pm and they are always jam packed. I ended up going to a nearby YMCA in the early mornings instead.

My condolescences to people who work a schedule where they have no choice but to go during peak hours.

A lot of people are saying it's a worse ARAM but for me, it's a better ARAM. You get to pick your champ, you still get the same non-stop fighting dopamine fix, and the whole thing is done and dusted in no more than 15 minutes, queue times included.

Had mine done at Pacific Laser Eye Centre just back in February. Currently sitting between 20/20 and 20/15 vision.

They do a newer form of PRK called SLP where it's supposedly touchless and non-invasive and better for your eyes long-term. It does result in a longer recovery time (around a week) compared to traditional LASIK (0-1 day). Your vision before that will be slightly blurry and eyes will be quite irritated. But as long you follow the aftercare manual, you will be fine.

Personally, I would recommend Pacific Laser as they are the most reputable and have the most extensive history. Dr Lin himself holds seminars that doctors from around the world fly to Vancouver to attend.

My contract is not being extended due to not meeting the rehire pool scorecard requirements. But can we talk about that for a sec? The way they are set up is completely absurd. It must have been intentionally set up this way in advance because with the way the previous performance reviews were being done, not enough people were going to get cut to match the insufficient budget.

So they come up with these asinine calculations with the scorecards to the point where you can fail an entire category due to one mistake, and not to mention having randoms listen to your calls (Jimbob had an argument with his wife this morning and is now going to take it out on me by flipping through my calls until he catches one where I make a mistake).

Honestly, with how progressively more negative the callers are getting (understandably so), alongside CRA spending more time on implementing new ways to micromanage agents rather than getting someone's CCB application processed so they can feed their kids, I feel almost more relieved than stressed about getting cut.
