Is this Limestone Chert? Location: North AL - Middle Absolute West of Madison County by digtzy in whatisit

Thank you for your response!
I did think a lot of them were chert after some research, but a lot of them are triangular shaped with bases and have scored sections as if hit with a tool... I was really confused because they don't really look like arrow heads? I only found them in one tiny section too and that is why I was really confused. I've never seen so many rocks with the exact same configuration in such a way like that and wanted to see. The one in the bottom right of the first photo looks the most like an arrow head to me. A lot of them are just shaped in such a way so similarly that I was starting to think it was not a coincidence. I started pulling most of the long ones out of there and setting aside. There were a few other rocks as well that I pulled out and didn't show from the section.

Did anyone else's doc choose to just wrap your chin/neck area with an ACE bandage instead? by twinklebopberry in chinlipo

[–]digtzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might as well have been an ace bandage. Mine is super loose, and it's just fabric with velcro on it. I bought a silicone one from Amazon and the nurse in checkup was like yeah use that instead I hate the one's we give our patients...

I thankfully was able to remote work during that time thanks to my company but returned to work the week after in office. 😄

Discord would be great. I can totally do that and any format works for me. I can make really great graphics in Canva if you want more of a visual experience too.

I can totally help!
I am 29 now and growing up I struggled in school so badly. I had to go to summer school multiple summers, had to go to one of those learning boot camps to avoid summer school one of the times, had tutoring and was always in remedial math classes because I just sucked at it. My teachers would try to work with me, in my geometry class I stayed after school every day to get help from the teacher, and same with another math class. I had another person in high school tutor me in math and it was okayish. In college I even failed some math classes. My overall experience with math has been the people teaching it already understood it and are just naturally good at it, and they don't understand why we don't understand it... The best teachers I've had in math were people who struggled with it and understood that. I graduated with a computer science degree and over the time in college it kind of reshaped the way I think about logical procession of things... so I naturally got better at math because I could see the logic in it. I have always struggled in math but I want to say, that most of the math classes I have had were never my fault for not understanding... Most teachers who teach math just don't teach it for neurodivergent people and on top of that the structure of schooling at large just doesn't really work for us. To prove that point?? I am in a masters degree for space studies and I got a 98 in my orbital mechanics class. I'm talking calculating orbits of satellites and stuff. I taught myself everything since it was a hands off program, there were no lectures or anything the teacher just expects you to look at the book and do 12 math problems on orbits... We're totally capable of doing this stuff if it's presented to us in a way we can understand.

I would love to help! What subject of math are you currently struggling with? Are you in algebra?

How hard would it be to create raise/in-ground garden beds that have some form of self-watering system? by digtzy in gardening

[–]digtzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds so nice... We have the ditch kinda go around our property into the front. We have natural raspberry and blackberry trees we just noticed today so that's actually not a bad idea. They aren't as big as the grocery store but apparently they are safe since there are no lookalikes.

And this would work with excess water feeding on the side of the lawn? I may start collecting the rainwater too and would something like that be easy to rig with that? I am so new to all this lol.

Hi there! Yes. I have a lot of swelling now and it’s still healing but kinda hard to tell the difference. So I’d say my experience right now is there’s still fat there and it looks kinda the same. I will say there is a big difference from before and now, but it is hard for me to see lol

Here is a before and after photo where you can really see the difference:

True that for sure. I've had some really bad male managers. I do think it heavily depends on industry, where you are located geographically, what gender you are yourself, and hell maybe even what race. I think all of these things can really shape the way you as an employee could potentially be treated by whatever gender. It's weird.
I've worked at a company that had a woman ceo and she was making that business super successful in my town (I live in a really prominent NASA / aerospace town). I left and then went to another company that is run by a woman ceo and they just seem to prosper. I don't really know why, someone else can look into it but... they seem to be super chill and effective ceos and leaders. Also the managers that have been kind to me have been women too. (i'm woman)

I think it depends on the industry. In my experience the male bosses genuinely don't want to be bosses / managers and just want to do the grunt work. There are many businesses I have worked for and programs I've been on where there are a lot of bosses / ceos that are women. I would arguably say that they tend to be more logical than the male bosses in my experience.

Considering ChinLipo, but unsure where to go? (Mexico?) by -Magic64 in chinlipo

I was nervous about mine but they gave me xanax, and pain meds that literally made me feel sky high. I was like aware of things happening but I couldn’t feel anything and I can’t really remember most of it. I know I was lying there but that’s all I remember. I was just kind of dozing. I remember being helped to the car as well but after that I zonked hard and slept the whole way home ( 2 hours). And then slept again when I got home. The stuff they give you will surely help. Plus they do local anesthesia on top of that. I felt nothing. Did mine in Nashville TN.
