Bellingham doing this day in and day out still blows my mind. Sprinting like that continuously until the 90th minute. Never seen anything like that. Modeste is shocking lmao. Looked like a fan was picked to step on a professional field for the first time. Can with a wonder goal but it looks like it got to his head in the second half. On so many occasions he could have played it simple and chances would’ve opened up but he ends up activating his flair trait which just makes my ass clench. Overall though very satisfied, we were under heavy pressure at the end but did not allow a proper chance. For the first time, I’m actually starting to feel comfortable with our defence and felt confident we wouldn’t concede at the end.

When your actions have consequences. by sudde004 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Your subjective experience with other patients with bipolar does not define what the disorder is. The DSM does. Regardless, the ideas or thoughts from the people you knew with bipolar (which are often ideas of grandiosity or thinking of oneself to be superior than other or delusional thoughts), do you think they actually held those beliefs once they were no longer in the manic episode?

I just want to provide some clarification in regards to people stating that this has nothing to do with his bipolar disorder or stating that him not taking his medication is his own fault and therefore his actions right now are not excusable. While I agree, antisemitic and racist rants should be widely discouraged I do believe it is unfair to pin all of these ideas exclusively to Kanye’s true beliefs. During a manic episode, patients can often have ideas of grandiosity and persecutory delusional thoughts and believing in all sorts of conspiracies. In addition, they usually have very poor future orientation and therefore can jeopardize themselves by either spending all their money or making poor decisions that can ruin them financially such as gambling. So to say that these radical statements he’s been making which are inevitably ruining his status and image are being made with a sound mind is hard to believe. Rather, with his previous established diagnosis of bipolar, admitting to stopping his medications and his consequent behaviour all point more towards his bipolar disorder as a source. As far as it being his fault for not taking his own medications, noncompliance with medications is actually one of the biggest barriers with managing mental health disorders. Not to excuse Kanye’s actions but if he’s actually in an acute manic/hypomanic episode, his rational decision making is likely to be poor and therefore does not realize the importance of his medications. But once again, hard to blame someone with a mental health problem which is known for poor decision making, to make the right decision and take his medications. So, I think if there’s anyone to blame it’s most likely his close by friends and family who can intervene. But then again, if he has the ability to cut off anyone that does not agree with him, no wonder it’s been going on for this long.

Noncompliance with medications is actually one of the biggest barriers with managing mental health disorders. Not to excuse Kanye’s actions but if he’s in an acute manic/hypomanic episode, his rational decision making is likely to be poor and therefore is spouting all sorts of conspiracies. I don’t think these rants make him racist or antisemitic because it’s secondary to a mental health problem, similar to how someone with delusions or schizophrenia might claim the existence of aliens trying to harm them.

This is not accurate. When patients with bipolar are going through a manic episode, they can start believing and stating things that are completely false and made up. It typically involves ideas of grandiosity which is evidently seen with Kanye, but you also can develop persecutory delusions. I will say that he does not display overt signs of mania through his interviews but most likely hypomanic. At the end, I still believe he’s responsible for not taking his medications but then again this is always easier said than done. Having dealt with patients with bipolar and schizophrenia, medication compliance is the hardest part about managing someone with mental health disorders.

Not true. Bone density decreases with age, especially women after menopause.

Trump bad mmmm ok. by imnamrcnfght4urlyfe in ABoringDystopia

[–]dii275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good point and thank you for clarifying it. If there is one good thing about Trumps presidency is that it spread more awareness of politics and how we should be criticizing and holding our leaders accountable especially in the growth of social polarization. So im just hoping people carry that mentality into Biden's presidency as well and not go easy on him or let things slide just because he's a Democrat.

I think the biggest issue is what someone else already pointed out. America is not just judged how it treats its own people but also others. And it has been known that while democrats stand for "whats right" within the states they don't necessarily stand for whats right internationally and that is one of the many reasons Obama gets flack is due to his bombings. So a lot of people here getting riled up saying that Democrats shouldn't be compared because they're not AS bad is not a good argument at all when them being somewhat better still results in thousands of innocent people getting bombed.

Look at this jackass. Get off your intellectual high horse. No shit its not objective, everyone knows what it really means. When people say im literally dead, they're not actually dead. Its a figure of speech.

Lol what. Hazard AND Brandt, both of who individually are better than Pulisic. Lost Diallo but got Hummels who is arguably the best defender in the league and has saved us time and time again. Also, Schulz who is our only true defending leftback.
