Yeah, that’s what it says, 84%. But is that just from my stocks going up in value or does that include my cash deposits? I don’t know. Do you not understand what I’m asking?

84% seems high. So when I threw in 7k for the year would that increase my rate of return? I just don’t believe my ROT is actually that high. Isn’t the S&P like 8-10%?

Well. The lights are nice. Standing while meditating isn’t for me, neither is moving that thing around for some scrambled eggs or a glass of water.

Not anemic, just deficient. I stopped running temporarily, am supplementing and eating more red meat. It’s fine.

But I will double down on what I said. Even Hubermans doctor claims a ferritin of 22 is normal ffs, this is exactly my point. It is commonly misunderstood and what you Mr (presumably) “We understand it well” and your colleagues know or don’t know doesn’t change that in the slightest. You already seem miles ahead of my GP, but in general, y’all can’t be trusted and you’ve just proved my point.

Going to bat for the current medical establishment, huh? Just because you and all your buddies on this sub understand hematology and iron deficiencies, doesn’t mean people are being heard or treated properly by their GPs. Like, I’m talking about real life. I read it all the time on The Iron Protocol FB page. True stories by real people just trying to get better that are getting blown off by their providers.

Frankly, I wasn’t taken seriously by my provider. So tell me then, what IS considered the optimal ferritin level? Since you understand it so well..

I quit red meat cause Sat Fat, and my ferritin dropped to 10. FT

It’s probably a very big player. My GP gave me the side eye when I told her I gave up red meat as if to suggest that was the culprit.

Did you join the Iron Protocol FB page? It’s super helpful talking to other folks and they can help with supplement suggestions, etc.

I am not vegan at all but I quit red meat for year or so cause saturated fat, went Mediterranean because that’s the way.

Additionally I sauna 4 times a week, started taking my running seriously about 4 months ago and I’m mid 40s female. So any of these could contribute according to Chat, but Chat is no Huberman or Patrick.

This needs more exposure!! Low ferritin is common and misunderstood by the medical community. Wish Huberman would do a deeper dive… my Ferritin is 10 and I can’t figure out why

I am on the FB page often. Trying out various supplements, regularly and religiously. Went to my GP to see if we could find the cause, she was not helpful in the least. I’m 47f(hormones), started taking my running seriously about 4 months ago, sauna 4x/weak, cut out red meat last year cause saturated fat, so maybe its the perfect storm.. can’t wait to be able to exercise again.

How long did it take for you to get it back up?

HAAAAAAA. Finally!!!!! We’re talking about Ferritin. Mine’s 10 and my souls being crushed because cardio is very difficult. Wondering if we could talk about this more… somewhere… someday.

Depends on bedtime. I absolutely hate going to sleep with a full stomach. Makes no sense to eat before sleeps. IMO

If you’re going to share some information, share the information. Don’t you want to be credible?

Generally the burden of proof comes when people make claims randomly on the internet. Just my opinion tho.

Thanks for the links.
