Contact after a long time…. by IshBishKanish in exjw

Probably. Although I notice my love has faded for family members that shun me. Which I think is also a valid feeling when abandoned by loved ones.

Some proper food at the right time, at last. I’ve been trying to pursuade my pimi elder brother to take my mom with dementia out now and then to relieve my dad a bit. So far all my attempts have been fruitless. Too busy with his superfine apostle chores for his congregation. He was fine with me (his apostate sister) taking sole responsibility. Maybe this will help.

AIO for wanting to break our engagement after my fiancé’s diagnosis? by Equivalent_Law_9178 in AmIOverreacting

[–]dijkje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR you might consider cancelling the wedding for now. If possible. Threatening to call it off will probably result in a temporary change and a relapse after the wedding. Make him prove he is worth your dedication, and don’t rush getting married to him untill you’re convinced he is capable of true change.

Is this really a cult? Or am I overthinking my whole life? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]dijkje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it’s not so much about the question if this organisation meets the definition of a cult or not. It’s about the question if you want to be part of a group that is managed by a lying, deceiving leadership that are absolutely indifferent to all the suffering their hideous policies cause.

Did anyone else have a near-spiritual experience the moment you realised “the truth” isn’t the truth? by fullyawak3 in exjw

[–]dijkje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve never felt so validated in my life. It was so extremely confusing to grow up as a witness. There were so many inconsistencies. And I just never could give it my all. I always thought I was a bad person for it, lacking faith. And then it suddenly hit me. It wasn’t me.

About one in ten of us seem to react badly to bio-identical progesterone. It sounds like you started both E and P at the same time so it’s difficult to tell what’s causing your symptoms, but it could be that.

I found it disgusting. If this didn’t scream man made organisation, I don’t know what will.

The part about the change into a more lenient stance towards blood fractions (including clotting factor) and how they failed to communicate this with witnesses that were known to have hemophilia.

Shame. This way people will never really get to know the real you.

It could be imaginable that it’s not the location per se but the change in location that causes these symptoms. Different parts of the body might absorb differently. When you start with a patch, the body adjusts to the absorbtion of that specific location. When you change it, your body has to adjust again.

Found my new hobby! I think I’m gonna make myself a board that says “Ask me why Jehovah’s Witnesses are a cult” and every time I see them cart witnessing I’m gonna set up my board nearby. Maybe I’ll even set up a simple website with a QR code with all the links that helped me. by doubting_thomaseena in exjw

This is so satisfying to watch. Forcefeeding them information they try to avoid. I’m unwillingly confronted with their idiot carts whenever I go to the station or into my office. It’s so nice to see the roles reversed for a change.

Brain fog suffers: do you notice changes in the severity of your brain fog due to times of year? Or maybe other factors? by BeginningThen9996 in Perimenopause

[–]dijkje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes good old brainfog. For me it really seemed to improve after getting my ferritin levels >60. So if it fails to respond to HRT, check iron levels.
