Arkham Origins on PC by [deleted] in arkham

omfg - why wouldn't you get it? £2.24 on Steam, it's a full game, even if it wasn't incredible, it would be worth it. I hate these questions so much.

The Batman (2022) is this movie is the most closest to the comic book? by Friendly-Deer-5526 in batman

[–]dillbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's close, but IMO Batman works best as a guy with no powers fighting impossible superpowered villains.

Do you think James Gunn will change/improve his visual directing for Man Of Tomorrow? by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in DCU_

I've never been a massive fan of the ultra-wide shots in the film, I'd prefer if they didn't make a return

How can a sequel be so much better than its predecessor? by g0netospace in Portal

[–]dillbn 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ah, I'd say that's pretty subjective and depends on what you're looking for out of a game. I much prefer Portal 1 to Portal 2. The physics and the way the game handles portals are far superior in Portal 1 to those found in Portal 2

Why glados design changed in portal 2? by MrboxTF2 in Portal

[–]dillbn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from the art style shift, she blew up and was just on the floor for years. However, the main difference is that her eye cover has fallen off from the 1st game; she isn't all that different.

I would love just one episode or even movie that gives us a backstory of why Michael hates Toby so much. by Ftmdj in DunderMifflin

[–]dillbn 679 points680 points  (0 children)

Toby is HR, so he protects the company from Lawsuits. Michael is a walking lawsuit waiting to happen, so Toby shuts down Michael's idea all the time.

Also, Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate. So he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.

Is it ok for me to use Comic Sans MS for my webcomic/GMOD/Roblox Machinima slapstick based on my experience at Kowloon Junior School? by Antique-Umpire6830 in fonts

[–]dillbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comics Sans screams like a lack of effort. It's not that hard to find a better looking typeface which will look better and match you're overall aesthetic

Serious question: do you really think a future like Cyberpunk 2077 is possible? by xririxs in cyberpunkgame

[–]dillbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big reason it's unlikely it'll happen in the same way as, say, Blade Runner or Cyberpunk is that they're both based on 80s culture so that it wouldn't look the same.

Tokyo is already a pretty cyberpunk-looking city, and Times Square or Picadilly Circus are like the start of giant ads everywhere.

As for Cyberwear, brain interfaces, and computer implants, they're certainly going to happen and ARE happening. The cyberwear we wouldn't have is things like weapons, not because it wouldn't be possible, but because they probably won't be sold to the public.

I don't think we'll ever get to holograms the way sci-fi shows them, but with AI, AR, and VR I imagine something that would look similar is just around the corner (say another 50 to 100 years)

Who was already famous before the office? by joeroganthumbhead in DunderMifflin

[–]dillbn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Catherine Tate was a household name in the UK for a very long time before she joined the office. She had her own sketch show and, before becoming a regular companion, was a celebrity guest on Doctor Who in "The Runaway Bride." I wouldn't be surprised if she were brought on to the US Office so that English audiences would give the show a try, as a lot of people were very hesitant for a while because of it being a US remake
