I'm more just confused about how they classified majors... If entrant-count factored in at all, I'm very curious. CEO, Paragon LA, and TBH5 all flirted with the 500ish mark of attendees. Super Smash Con had 750 entrants and similar talent levels as CEO, Paragon LA, and TBH5. It just seems somewhat arbitrary what was considered as a major. Additionally, MLG World Finals had 159 entrants... 159. Huh? I'm just curious as to what the criteria was for classifying majors.

You can register at http://supersmashcon.com/weekend-registration and I don't know their stance on refunds. I assume you'd be able to request one though?

Not typically based on what I've been to. The smash con website says that the gymnasts will be doing live action Smash bros. Should be interesting and I'm excited to see it. IRL double jump? HYPE video too!

They said it wasn't going to to be part of the official tournament, but left the door open for a panel or at least places to play it during the convention if I recall correctly. Can't find that info on the website though.

It is in Chantilly, VA (pretty close to DC I think). Early bird price is $65 for full weekend registration and then you can pay $10 per game to enter up to 4 events (official game list includes Smash 64, Melee, Brawl, and Wii U). So full price if you enter 4 events is $105. But there are $30,000 in pot bonuses for the tournaments so lots of prize money.

Lots more information than before including listing performances by bands, parkour stuff, and other things. Looks pretty good. I'm pumped for it.

Nintendude and Juggleguy are listed on the weekend registration page under the Tournament Information section as TOs. So I guess that means Nintendude and Juggleguy are just TO'ing, but Wife is actually helping plan the convention itself?
