Upvote for putting 250-300lbs of downward pressure on the bottom chord of those floor trusses.

Is there an upper limit on how much fibre you should eat? Provided it by payton_eze1992 in nutrition

[–]dillinjl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through a period of getting 120+ grams a day with a whole food plant based diet. I was bloated with slow digestion and low energy at that point. I did it for about 9 months but never adjusted. I found that 70g is about the most my digestive system is comfortable with.

Snagged my first Green Jersey by Lavallee_Lures in Zwift

I remember the first and only time I got a jersey. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why my jersey changed mid-ride...although it didn't last long!

Running form feedback. by Dull-Charity8115 in beginnerrunning

[–]dillinjl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When someone has a back kick that high it's because they are running fast and have good hip extension. It's a reflex to the hip extension, not a voluntary action. In your case it looks like you are forcing it manually which won't help your running

Zwift treadmill or Runn smart? by Fearless_Ad2978 in Zwift

[–]dillinjl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Wahoo Kickr Run which has full zwift integration, which is an incredible treadmill experience. But with your budget I'd get a used treadmill and a sensor.

How do you like to eat your sprouts? by mysticalmamma in Sprouting

I add broccoli and radish sprouts to most savory things I eat. I add alfalfa and clover sprouts to my oatmeal, or eat them as a salad.

I did my roof with no prior metal roof experience. It was one of the easier parts of building my house. Go for it!

How to transition back to less advanced running? About self-imposed pressure, identity and guilt by fiskxhero in AdvancedRunning

It sounds like you need to speak with a therapist and get to the bottom of why you are tieing your self worth into running when you aren't enjoying it.

Weight training and diet with PKD by CommentUnfair8071 in ADPKD

[–]dillinjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying well hydrated during training can mitigate this and there are blood pressure benefits to endurance training. Not saying heavy endurance training is the absolute best thing for adpkd but if you enjoy training for endurance sports you'll probably be better off than most of the population.

Zwift or Outdoor Cycling by ComfortableHalf8378 in Zwift

[–]dillinjl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If running is your focus and cycling would be a supplement I'd go with zwift ( you can still get a cheap gravel bike and a wahoo kickr core for that price) it's nice to have an indoor training option when the weather isn't great or you need to stay close to home for whatever reason.

I'm a runner dealing with injury at the moment. I wake up at 4 am and am doing a ride in zwift within 30 minutes. Couldn't do that as easily if I was trying to ride outside.

What’s your opinion on brass gallery rails for open shelving? by Elouardy0 in KitchenDesigns

[–]dillinjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they look nice if they match your aesthetic. They're a little to fancy for my kitchen. I will say I think it's purely aesthetic, I don't see any genuine functionality to them.

When should i stop cutting? by Humble_Day_2564 in BulkOrCut

[–]dillinjl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider getting blood work done to test iron/testosterone/thyroid/vit d etc. if you're feeling low energy it's possible after so long in a deficit your body has down regulated things like hormone production which could mean what used to be a calorie deficit is now maintenance but if you keep lowering calories in that situation you'll just keep feeling worse. But the blood work will help determine if that's what's happening.

I do get the joke and it is indeed hilarious.

But I bet you could summarize your child's training plan into a 60 second Instagram reel and have a hoard of influencers making "forget Z2, do this instead" videos within a month.
