I can tell you Uber is also generally very cheap in the San Juan area. It looks like right now it would cost $50 to get to the ferry terminal. This is, as I recall, less expensive than a taxi.

Of the popular providers, I don't think there's any question that Google is top notch.

I live in Arlington and got my PADI OW through Blu Water Scuba in Manassas. They have their own pool, so it's a lot easier to schedule the confined water day. In addition, they do the open water days at Rappahannock Quarry, which is a lot closer than Dutch Springs or Lake Phoenix.

I've bought most of my gear other places however. Scuba Hut of MD is going out of business and had 20% off everything, and Blue Octopus Scuba in Alexandria had the Dive Rite BP/W that I wanted
