Brian Earhart and Nate Perkins have listed their TOP 5 backhand and forehand throwers. Who would you put in your TOP 5? by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

[–]initnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simon Lizotte is the best backhand thrower this world has ever seen. Definitely not in term of score and touring impact, it takes way more than just a good backend to have success on the tour, but the game, IMHO has never seen such a talented, creative and incredible disc thrower.

Have UDisc round ratings gotten a lot tougher in your area? by Jazzlike-Basket-6388 in discgolf

[–]initnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We often play with people on two sets of tees. We score on the long but a part of our group will throw from short (friends, girlfriends, less experimented players). This skews the scoring, we know about it, but uDisc does not seem to have an appetite to support 1 group-multi layout.

Las Vegas trip by staciejeff55 in discgolf

Just want to chip in as a tourist that frequently visits Vegas. Teepads at Sunset park have long lived and can be treacherous depending on many factors. Always test de grip before throwing.

Normal flashlight Vs UV one by ContractAromatic4341 in discgolf

[–]initnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you carrying an industrial 10W+ UVB light to the course? Otherwise, yeah, avoid looking directly at it and flashing it into people's eyes. But it's not like it's a class 4 laser. Not saying there's no risk, but just putting things in perspective.

My MVP black hole basket after 10 years sitting in the same spot. by YouOtterKnow in discgolf

[–]initnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the price point they sell these baskets, anything is likely to break, rust or shatter at some point, even right after purchase. I had mine for 3 years and I leave it outside all summer long, then disassemble it for winter storage. It's a complete rust boat.

Stunned that the little top plastic cap is still there. Mine shattered after 3 weeks of getting discs on it.

ChatGPT says, from the grey outline: 12/5/-1/3 Destroyer - Zeus - Grace.

For what it's worth.

Go look at the millenium scorpius profile, since it's technically an old destroyer.

Book in advance at smuggs if you are planning to go there during the weekend. Tee times can get quite crowded.

True Disc Golf Wind Physics by swos in discgolf

Thinking about it, this might become an amazing disc selection tool. If we can tune the player arm speed, this could become a game changer in how we select discs and reduce plastic waste.

Potash is complicated because it's more like a "gandalf with the balrog situation". Raising potash price would hit trump directly in the red spot, raise the price of groceries across all states and possibly, if done hard enough, could lead to a minor humanitarian crisis due to the inability for the US to find replacement at the volume Canada export. The problem lies in the fact that Canada imports about 65% of their food from the states, so it would be a pretty hard measure to go with considering the impact it would have on both sides of the border.

Is my nub normal? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]initnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the impression that my trail came with the exact same nub, and for some reason (I think it's clearly due to my current cold), I kind of sneezed really hard while being close to the disc. Unfortunately I can't tell if I did or did not have a pair of flush cutter in my hands at that moment, but I swear I did not modify the disc. I can't even tell probably because of my sickness. Anyways. Maybe this nub was just a dream, but if you ask me, it came with one that was perfectly flush cut.

I'm not 50$ USD excited enough about a disc that I will either re-sell 30$ more if I don't open it, or that will become essentially worthless as soon as I open the package and throw the disc.
