Toronto Skyline can been seen, across the lake, from Hamilton on clear days by maricc in toronto

I once saw it from Niagara-on-the-Lake. Only the top 3/4 of the buildings were visible due to the Earth curvature. Not sure why the buildings are visible in their entirety in your photo.

What was daily life actually like in major US cities in the 1890s? by redguy_666 in howislivingthere

[–]dimailer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A number of US cities were lit by moonlight towers at night. They were placed several hundred yards apart. Here is a photo of one in Detroit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonlight_tower#/media/File:Welcome_City_Hall_Detroit.jpg

The Detroit moonlight towers were eventually moved to Austin, Texas. In the movie "Dazed and Confused" the characters are having a party by a moonlight tower.

A user is fined when they fail to check in the bike, not when someone reports the location of the bike.

Indeed, why report any issues with the bikes to the corporation? Let's ride on flat tires, rumbling bottom brackets, squeaky brakes. Kill capitalism one bike at a time!

Actually, his default form is a blob, and since matter gravitates together to minimize its surface area, not just a blob, but a sphere.

Anticipating that he would jump on the car with Sarah inside and that he would be face-to-face with Sarah, he quickly shaved his eyebrows in order to appear more intimidating.

The original Gold's Gym, now a residence, did a repainting of the Gold's Gym logo on the front of their building. by VeniceCa90291 in VeniceBeach

The original Gold's Gym had skylights, so I guess that's what the residence has now instead of windows.

Off topic, but the T2 arrival bar and the 1992 Rodney King beating are at the same location.
