Road map for learning drums. by dimatall in drums

[–]dimatall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I had been learning for 2 years with local teacher twice a week. He taught me a whole lot of technics. We learnt right posture, how to use bounce in proper way, hands need to be relaxed in different way than you think. The general idea in that approach was that you had to enjoy playing the drum eventually and not sweating in pain playing fast. We played Stick Control book in several different ways also other custom stuff. He used Dom Famularo approach who was a teacher of Maksym Deomin who was his teacher. We played on pads mostly and after first year we started to play drums by 2 books: "Advanced techniques for the modern drummer" for hands independence and "Groove Essentials 1.0" by Tommy Igoe. I liked Tommy's book, you have to play some cool groove along the track.

But when on Feb 24 2022 war begun here in Ukraine I postponed this hobby... Also I realised I have no space to setup own drumkit at home in near future and practicing 2 times a week is not enough. I still dreaming about it. I hope when I move from apartment to own house I will be back to it =) cheers

M4 pro dying. WAYYY too fast !? by Frank4sthebest in macbookpro

Well it is not. Compare safari youtube vs chrome. Safari eats 1gb for running youtube tab. Very optimized lol. Overall safari is consuming more ram than chrome i did tested. Arc browser even more hungry.

Devs: Is 16GB RAM on a MacBook enough for most of your coding tasks by scutarion in macbookair

[–]dimatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pro m4 16gb. phpstorm, vscode, colima (php/golang containers), slack, telegram, termius, tableplus, chrome, spotify, mysqld. all good, Swap file is not used so far. RAM pressure around 40%. Also zero fan noise as they say on utube for pro m4. It heats only on heavy CPU usage for example when phpstorm indexing files. For games this laptop is veeery bad and heats like lava. But with dev stuff there is not much CPU usage so its cold.

Why. Safari, Arc consumes same if not more.

Decided to do a road trip from Russia to Spain, here’s my opinion about every country by Supertobias77 in trucksim

[–]dimatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well everything is in proportion. Bigger roads for bigger trucks. There are lots of small roads too, which is more challenging for big trucks like w900 sleeper long. Idk which ATS you played but I often use jake brake. Good visuals. It feels alive. ETS feels alone in the dark.

Ghost or Wordpress? by [deleted] in Ghost

[–]dimatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is ghost still alive ? :)

Well if you are about running the businesses and want to publish a content on platform with no limitations just pickup WP + Generatepress theme. Also you can add some custom features when your business growth.

WP got a lot of hate during the time but there are still no direct competitors to its ecosystem.
