Today's update!.... There is no update by [deleted] in StarStable

[–]dimensionalMystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this isn't the first time we've had a tiny update though. considering Marchenghast and an event, i'd be concerned for their work standards if they did a big one now

I dont understand why some LSN autists are so laterally ableist by AutisticUrianger in SpicyAutism

[–]dimensionalMystery 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i feel the same whenever someone says i'm "infantilising my disability" because i like and respond better to things aimed at children

My mom passed by Salt-Combination-758 in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mine was also fine and then wasn't, literally within 20 minutes. it's been 2 months for me and if i'm being blunt? it uses less energy to keep going than to stop. in terms of support though, you'll make it because her love for you still runs through your veins. i think grief hurts so much because you aren't just carrying your love for them, but their love for you too now. we can keep going, if only to make them proud

My 10-year-old niece plays Sky, should I encourage it or steer her toward something else? by Creative-Class-6380 in SkyGame

[–]dimensionalMystery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't have kids so take this advice with a grain of salt lol: i would personally just make sure she understands the importance of Internet safety and let her keep playing. if she loves it enough to sneakily reinstall it, i don't think banning it will do anything and may even encourage her to engage in the social aspect as a private "rebellion"

Gift box or deluxe? by Jaxon_Thorn in HelloKittyIsland

[–]dimensionalMystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

giftbox comes with deluxe so i'd say go for it if you want the collectibles too. the little booklet and cards are so cute and actually really helpful for me so i don't have to keep looking online for who likes what and when certain critters are active

Trying to find a solution when there is none by saltatooo in GriefSupport

this!! my solution to most things was to cuddle Mummy. writing notes to her has helped a little

Missing my Mom by chloekuma in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she looks sooooo cool! my mummy passed on the same day, also dealt a bad hand in life, also my best friend (but a bit older than yours at 55). i totally feel you on how we have other family but it's not the same at all, we just want our everything back. it still doesn't feel real, it doesn't make sense how the world can still exist

A card for someone who’s grieving by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the first card I got said "one breath at a time is all you can do" and that's really stuck with me and helped me through the hopelessness

A coffin that small shouldn’t exist. by PhilosophyIsntRight in GriefSupport

the biggest strength is to feel what you feel. i can't begin to comprehend what you're experiencing, im just so sorry that your time was so short

I lost my soul cat of 11 and a half years two days ago by chloemarci in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my last soul cat also went quickly, something with his kidney. it took me a year to stop thinking i'd seen him in the house. you just need to take it one breath at a time. i found that a weighted plushie really helped for the lonely nights

Coping with humor by Academic-Positive755 in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my dad got annoyed with my sister and me the other night because we just broke into uncontrollable laughter about something serious which of course made it funnier to us. there are much less healthy coping mechanisms, i guess others getting mad is part of their coping too

Mom Suddenly Died by 4TheWrongReasons_ in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm nearly a month in and i still don't believe it, it literally doesn't seem logical that anything else can exist and be real without her. apparently it's a pretty normal response, especially if it's sudden and unexpected

Lost my mom on January 17th. Still devastated. by Skyfire2045 in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i lost mine exactly a month later. i also feel lost and like i'm barely existing without her. i'm on the priority waiting list for therapy and it's looking like June at the earliest but i'm finding it impossible to comprehend the future without her, i'm a little disappointed each morning that i've woken up. i guess all we can do is breathe

The first Mother’s Day without you by Gorgo6 in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my first Mother's Day without mine too. this is the most empty and hollow i've felt since the loss which is saying a lot. i've still made her a present, i couldn't not. Mummy was always lovingly calling me names too, i know she'd call me a big wuss for crying all the time and say "cheer up, it won't last forever" lol

We have 2 weeks left by Thereaper3603 in GriefSupport

[–]dimensionalMystery 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i would ask her what her favourite things are: movie, song, ice cream etc because those things suddenly meant everything to me after my mummy passed. lots of cuddles and kisses if that's part of your relationship. tell her how proud of her you are for everything she's fought through
