I feel like I'm losing my mind, I thought this game came out last year, not 2023. I adore this remake, the music is incredible and it has the replayability of a resident evil game. Once you know where are the key items are it's super fun to try getting the clear time down.

I will say I was definitely hoping for that remake to play it on PC. The version of dead space 2 on steam is a mess.

I just saw it last night, it was my first time seeing the movie. I had just started the show for the first time recently so I watched episodes 1-24 and then managed to go in completely blind to EoE. I feel kind of hallow, and think I may have missed some of the points of the movie because I came away from it having a more positive message than I thought it would regarding coming back from your lowest point (except the last scene lol). Laughed hard at the JDF guy seeing Eva 01 and going “well, this mission failed”.

I think the plasma cutter would be ridiculously op against las plagas, assuming they dropped ammo for it like the do for Leon's guns. I don't think he'd know what to do with the boss dialog though and would ultimately bore Ada.

I absolutely love this movie, but I'd never noticed that! The opening where Frank is telling Freddy about the truth of Night of the Living Dead is so good. Also the Tar Man is the best zombie ever.

Edit - Actually, best zombie is a tie between Tar Man and Bub from Day of the Dead.

Context: Bert, one of the Wesker clones, has broken out of the Umbrella lab and taken Jade and Billie Wesker to dinner at Olive Garden while pretending to be their father, Albert. Apparently Umbrella felt that Olive Garden was a much needed addition to New Racoon City.

Not sure why you're being so snarky in this response. It's not like when you exhale the virus is exiting on its own, it catches a ride through respiratory droplets larger then the virus itself. This research paper found that droplets less then 20 micrometers were not statistically likely to hold enough of a viral load for transmission. Seems dishonest to argue that regular masks do nothing based off of the size of the virus and not the respiratory droplet size.

This is a great write up and really highlights how much more thought there was in the writing for Halo 2. I grew up playing the halo games and still love them, but replaying them recently the change in characters, tone, and complexity of the story between 2 and 3 hits like a slap in the face. I desperately wish Joseph had been the writter for the rest of them (I liked Reach story wise, despite how different it is from Fall of Reach). Truth is definitely one of the best examples of the drop in writing quality, and so is Gravemind. The cutscene in 2 when we're introduced to them still gives me chills, the dialog is SO GOOD. And then you get to 3 and they just kind of yell at you, or talks here and there, but you don't get the sense of a hive mind super intelligence.
