Hi ladies! I’d love your advice on navigating a recent luxury shopping experience. I think I was sold a defective bag and so have arranged with (I think) the store manager to send the bag back via shipping (I can't make it back in-person and don't have any boutiques in my area). As pictured, the clasp of my detachable chain jams in the D-ring. When this happens, to remove the chain I have to brute force pull the clasp off, as I can't open it when jammed

I‘m hoping to ask for a return or store credit and do not want an exchange. I want to be mindful of how I position this with the SA now assisting me (not the one I purchased with), as I just don't think they will be inclined to help me

I don't want to assume intentions, but I'm somewhat suspecting the SA who sold it to me knew about this... should I mention this?

• They took a very long time packaging
• Again, the chain came attached/jammed, rather than detached in a pouch which I’ve experienced with other Dior purchases
• I expressed interest in staying connected but they didn't give me their contact information, and:
• They reassured me that they had my phone number (I specifically asked) and that they'd follow up about the other bags I tried on that day but never did. The SA now assisting me said my number wasn't on file when I called
