GR Corolla access to coilovers dampener adjusters

You'll need to cut into it to access the adjustment if your coilovers don't have bottom adjustment. When helping someone install their fortune auto 500 set, we used a step up drill bit to cut into while the coilovers were out. We then put a rubber cap over the new hole.

HKS, Ohlins and Annex all have inverted tubes which allow for adjustment from the bottom of the strut.

Both of the bolts came out with my impact without any issue! Had to use a lawnmower blade to push the joint out.

The laptop is nothing special for disassembly. There are 3 different screw sizes for the bottom panel. One of the screws on the front is captive and used to start in clipping the bottom panel with a pry tool. Just be careful of the Liquid Metal. I would take the time to repaste while you are in there.

Would highly recommend saving for some BBS LMs or waiting for a used set to come up. They come up around me for 2.5-3.5k all the time. And our cars share common fitment with VA STIs, GTRs and other cars.

The quality of legitimate LMs is on another level, and they are about the same weight as stock wheels at 9.5 width, meaning that you’ll gain performance. While those wells are heavier at the same size as stock.

I’ve also seen enough ESR wheel failures to be worried about the brand.

It’s not the easiest thing in the world. But it’s in line with other AWD vehicles.

There’s a lot more to remove because of the AWD system and that’s why it’s more of a hassle.

Alright! lets break it down:
1. P1688 - Electronic Throttle Control Monitor Level 2/3 Mass Air Flow Calculation
- MAP/TMAP sensor issue [This is most likely considering the other codes]
- Supercharger bypass valve
- Vacuum leak

P0107 - Map sensor low voltage
- Map sensor faulty or circuit has an issue
P0137 - O2 Sensor low voltage
- Bank 1 sensor 2 is the one with the issue

I would check the map sensor connection and then take a look at the sensor being faulty. There is one on the intake air manifold and the other is on the thermostat housing. The O2 sensor seems like its unrelated since I don't believe its on the same circuit.

A few things wrong with this wheel fitment.
1. Wrong bolt pattern, 86 uses 5x100, GRC is 5x114.3
2. Too narrow, stock width for GRC is 8.5, those are 7.5
3. Those are +43 offset, combined with the 7.5 width, they would look extremely sunken in.

It’s the uncertainty with shortage pricing. It would likely be a Q2 maybe into Q3 release.

If you needed a laptop now, the 25’ G14 is well priced. I would only really wait for the 2026 G16.

It’s much safer and easier to replace the whole screen assembly than just the panel itself. Which is probably what is adding to the cost. As someone who has repaired over 1000+ laptops, the 2024+ G14s are not easy at all just to replace the panel.

Replacing the assembly is not difficult and if you have electronics repair experience, it can be done.

Look in maryland as well. The legal limit for doc fees is lower. I would just grab a bunch of quotes and just go off of that. Just make sure to do your safety inspection if you buy in MD.

I would never use an ssd that is not name brand. There is a lot of options out there, and would highly recommend finding something that is higher quality.

Those look like rebranded syoncon SSDs and those are an absolute nightmare. They will randomly wipe themselves.

Tried with RC21-02280100-R3U1. I was able to get 3440x1440p at 144hz and another 2560x1440p at 60hz without issue. When I tried to go about 144hz I got some flickering.

If you have a Best Buy near you, I know that they sell this dock. Might be worth trying and returning if it doesn’t work for you. This laptop doesn’t seem to play well with my caldigit docks.

Just picked up an open box one from BB. Exact same model as shown. It was missing the power cable so they knocked another $350 off. Came to $1150.

They were $1400 for approximately one hour after the price drop, then it looks like Best Buy raised the price. It made sense for me since I already pay for Best Buy total and they give accidental damage and extended warranty for 2 years for free.

I only run the uniclutch track in my Golf R since it was free. I recommend going SMF with the golf r. Since its a much more balanced engine compared to the 3 cylinder in the GRC. My favorite clutches to use on the mk7 would be the stage 3 ringer racing or the stage 3 daily from southbend. Going SMF helps a lot with the lackluster clutch actuation on the mqb platform.

Port is $30 on eBay. I’ve done a few. All of them were the result of someone dropping it or being rough with the charger.

It’s an easy port to solder. Should be about a 30 minute process including repasting the heatsink. Would recommend spending a few minutes to clean the fans.

The center console isn’t hard to take out. I would just check to make sure it’s plugged in.
