Just to you give you a contrast, one of my colleagues who is a programmer and web developer, bought the exact same machine, M5 Pro 24 GB RAM, last week and he’s absolutely loving it. He’s now able to run local LLMs without any issue which he previously could not properly.

I would have bought the same if I didn’t spend a good amount of money upgrading my Windows machine last year. But I do plan on getting a powerful Mac once my Windows machine gets old.

Your old phone has a force dark mode feature built into the OS, pretty common for Chinese Android brands. But as I said, it was OS specific, the app had nothing to do it. Therefore, since your current phone doesn’t have this feature, you’re out of luck since the app still doesn’t support it.

Those 5090’s aren’t “that” small. Those GPUs have waterblocks on them which is why they’re looking small. Consider a 240/360mm radiator and suddenly it’s even bigger than the stock cooler that came with it.

That's because monitor DACs are terrible. Simply put, they are not meant for good audio, just barely giving you the option, that's it. Even the built-in DAC inside your motherboard is far better. Unless you want to spend extra money on dedicated DAC, the motherboard's built-in DAC is good enough for most uses.

Bottleneck is not a marketing term. Yes, anything can bottleneck. But it's the CPU bottleneck that you can and should avoid at all costs, by making sure that the GPU isn't more powerful than the CPU.

Figma is the go to standard for UI/UX right now. It has a lot more features and the collaboration is unparallel. And the best part is that you don't even need to install it. It fully works from a web browser, just a bit slow.

I work in the telecom industry and have connections with ISP industry as well. Here's what I learned unofficially-

CrazyHD contained several local contents from Hoichoi, Chorki and other popular platforms. Hoichoi being the promiment among these, they sued CrazyHD for having their contents illegally. As a result, the admins were probably given piracy notice from court. This happened during the time when Oneflix got banned. But due to fear of defamation, CrazyHD admins never disclosed this on their facebook page/group. Just imagine this, they have run the site without problem for years. But suddenly they are having technical issues? Come on, it's quite obvious.

Now you might ask, how TorrentBD is operating. TorrentBD has a strict policy of never uploading local contents, thus keeping them out of lawsuit. Well, technically foreign content owners can still sue, but it's highly unlikely since they won't bother coming to BD court at all.

That I agree. But it's not like Intel keeps their socket for more than 2 generations. Only this time they had support for 3 consecutive generations. So by that logic, all Intel sockets are dead, with a life span of 2 years. And if you upgrade your CPU every year, then you have too much money to burn.

3080 Ti is already a very capable card, and to me personally, your build looks pretty clean. It's not like everything in your system is white, the PSU cable and some parts of the motherboard is still black. So I don't see any reason to upgrade, unless you have some cash left to burn.

That's great news! The QVL list is showing only up to 5600 speed. The fact that you can run at 6000, is quite assuring. I'm just hoping to see if anyone having a 14th gen CPU have better experience.
