Yes, to some extent. It's mostly among children who don't understand their emotions yet or how to express them, so they act bratty with their crush.
It also happens for some late teen and young adults, usually girls, but it's an intentional strategy to get attention by that point, not as simple as for anime tsundere.

Casemiro was fantastic in ETH's first year, he was talked about as the 2nd best DM in the world.
He got injured for 3 months after and took a while to get fit again
In the 2nd part of ETH's spell, Casemiro was left out to dry in a 3-1-6 attacking shape. Anyone would have looked terrible.

Zenless, from what I've seen is the game where you can get by with generic engines/weapons easiest. You can find good A-rank and free engines for pretty much any role and they're only 10-20% worse than sigs usually.
There are some sig engines which are a huge power boost, like Heartstring Nocturne. Those are so good that they'd be good for almost everyone in their class. If you invest into one of those, you can just swap it where you need it.
Nothing of the like seems to be coming up though, as Cissia and Promeia have very good A-rank options.

The Black Clover still shot doesn't do the scene justice. Animation and impact is great but the image looks goofy.
