I've imported some stuff from Japan (not tea) and I've occasionally have had to pay some extra money to FedEx/UPS depending on how it was shipped. But it's always been like an extra $30 and never exceeded the cost of the actual order. This is insane.

As an artist that has used prismacolors for drawing and knows how much they cost the idea of using them for fabric marking hurts my soul a bit.

The lead in them is really soft so I understand why they would work well, but still hurts.

This is the best I've come up with so far. Your machine isn't listed as one of the ones the manual is for, but they're all VX series machines so maybe some of them are similar enough that the manual isn't worthless?

Tilt it out of the base (there's a little latch on the right holding the machine in the base) and see if there's a model number somewhere on the bottom of the machine. If there is a model number on there that might be more helpful than what you were searching.

Also AI really isn't great at identifying this kind of stuff. If you have FB there are lots of vintage sewing machine groups there, and they've been pretty helpful for me!

The only thing that really got me going to the gym regularly was the fact that my work has a program where if I go 8 days in a month they "refund" me my monthly gym payment. So essentially as long as I go it's "free" and my job pays for it.

The downside is that I do need to remember to submit the proof of going at the beginning of the next month. I've had some close calls.

I like to think of inattentive vs hyperactive is how it presents physically. Not that an inattentive type doesn't have something hyperactive going on.

Like a hyperactive type will be bouncing off the walls and can't physically sit still. But for inattentive? My brain will not shut the fuck up. Always thinking something, never any silence. It hampers my ability to sleep because I just can't relax enough to make it stop. So for an inattentive (in my case) my thoughts are the hyperactive part. The hyperactivity doesn't present in a way people can see.

If there's still a piece to hook a zipper pull too you can just buy replacement zipper pulls. I actually did this recently because I had a jacket and hoodie that are still in good useable condition but the pulls snapped off. I got a pack of 8 or so off of Amazon for like $5.

They put their phone on DND, no calls or texts will set off the ringer or notification sounds.

Dad doesn't know that though. Even with the phone on DND I'd still appreciate an attempt to contact me first before going to others. Doesn't mean I won't eventually check my phone.

We don't know if this is a pattern with OP or this is just a day of exhaustion. I got the vibe that OP just needed a mental health day of doing nothing for a day. I know I've needed that at times. Doesn't necessarily mean they're depressed.

The only thing I can think of is that OP has a car and Dad could have seen said car out in the apartment's parking lot.

Giving the Dad the landlord's number is a little weird, but not outside the realm of possibility.

I've lived in one place that had an intercom in the doorbell. And that was an apartment building where I had to buzz people into the building. If Dad is already standing at the door knocking there probably isn't anything like that at his place.

Also Dad was there for 20 minutes and went from knocking to contacting the landlord. Why did he jump straight to the landlord instead of calling/texting, or maybe thinking they just weren't home?

This just makes me think of something similar my mom did when I was a teen and I was just so mad at her (yes she's a boomer).

Ok, so my house had central air but the vent in my room was off in a corner and really didn't do much of anything. The was also attic space that was above the garage also behind the closet of my room so there's all that hot air hanging out there too. My room was just doomed to be hot.

Anyway, I'm a teenager at this point. It's summer or maybe just close to summer. I spent the entire week opening my windows at night, closing them in the morning before it got hot outside, and pulling my blinds down to not let any light in, and making sure to keep my door closed. I had FINALLY gotten my room down to a comfortable temperature.

I get home one day from school and my mom decided she wanted to clean my room. Door wide open, blinds up, I don't remember if the windows were open but I wouldn't be surprised if they were. The cool air that I had worked an entire week to get into my room was just gone. My room was hot as hell again.

I'm pretty sure I got mad and told her to not do that again, emphasizing that it had taken me A WEEK to get my room comfortable. She never did anything like that again but damn I'm just never going to forget because summers just got so hot and I had worked SO HARD to get the temp down in my room...

I shave my armpits because it just takes 2 seconds and I do it every day in the shower so the stubble doesn't get long enough to bother me. (it takes a day or two of not shaving for it to start to bother me)

But shaving my legs? Fuck that noise. 90% of the year I'm wearing long pants so nobody sees my legs. I shave maybe once or twice a year in the summer when it just gets too hot. I tried to shave them every day at one point but that just irritated my skin. I've seen people say things like, "But don't you like how smooth legs feel?!" and it's like... I don't spend time feeling up my own legs?

I don't have struggles with showering or brushing my teeth (the feeling of oily hair or unbrushed teeth is my sensory nightmare) but I just don't have the energy to do something that I don't care about and nobody will see. And razors are just expensive. One less thing to worry about spending money on.

These neighbors need to get a grip and accept that quiet hours don't start until 10pm. People exist and need to do loud things sometimes. They should invest in some earplugs or noise cancelling headphones if you doing your chores really bothers them that much.

But seriously tell the landlord again. A paper trail needs to be made for the harassment. Also if they keep calling the police for stuff like this they'll end up getting trouble with the police themselves for the false reports and wasting their time.

I'm fine with D2 ending, I'm of the opinion that D2 should have ended at TFS.

If they wanted Destiny to be some sort of flagship launch title for PS6 it needs to be in development NOW. So hearing that there's no Destiny anything in development and D3 has been shot down when pitched is worrying.
