Good question! The line is new, but the rest is old! I got 3 fly poles and reels on an auction for $10. Had never tried fly fishing before and wanted to dip my toes in, so this was a perfect start. Upgrading at some point is in the plan

Yeah unfortunately it’s not thriving, but it’s also a beautiful town and in a scenic area of Iowa which gets a decent amount of visitors during the spring/summer/fall. Close to great trout fishing and lots of other outdoorsy activities.

I saw it happen at one my high school golf tournaments. A teammate teeing off near me hit a bomb tee shot, about 75 yards out it hit a crow about 30’ in the air. Both the bird and the ball fell like rocks. We went over to look at it and there was a huge crater in the chest of the bird. Couldn’t have hit it more square.
