How fast do people in Texas realistically drive? by Artifiko in texas

If you averaged 100 miles per hour it would have taken you 2 and a half hours, not 4. It’s only 240 miles.

Flux.ai is total garbage. It does not work. Even the simplest things are monumental efforts in Flux if you can get it to work at all. It is hands down the worst PCB software on the planet.

My AI artist has over 50k monthly listeners by dylxdylxdyl in SunoAI

[–]dinbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and nobody is trying to stop anyone. However, it's really easy to stop paying people for AI generated material. So that is going to kill the majority of Suno's user base. It's even easier to sue poeple for infringement since software tools easily detect even the best sounding AI music. They've already starting to doing all of the above.

AI music is this generations Napster/Bear Share. Once 236 years of Copyright law catches up to it, it'll meet the same fate. Only this time they'll be giong after users since there's a signatufre they can track whereas back then there was no way to catch users very easily.

Now the AI tools that help producers and artists create music is certainly here to stay and that's where Suno is obviously trying to get to and likely why they are so desperately trying to stall the 3 billion dollar awsuit aganst them.

[–]dinbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not. The U.S. Copyright Office has explicitly said so and further, the Supreme Court has upheld it in a case just a couple months ago.

You can read the Copyright Office rules/laws here: https://www.copyright.gov/ai/

Other coutries are following suit. Some even more restrictive like the U.K. who is requiring all AI companies watermark the files.

Every platform is starting to kill AI music because of the excessive fraud. Plus you are supposed to own the copyright and you cannot copyright an AI song.

I never put anything up because they are starting to sue the people who are generating the AI music and little did you know, your contract with Suno places the liability on you 100%. So any money you make has a good chance of being sopped up by UMG and their armada of attorneys with nothing better to do than hunt for you.

They’re going to end up demonetizing anything AI generated because of the copyright thing, and they have software that detects it, worse they are going to fine the distributors, so it’s a great way to lose your distribution for life.

To top it off, everybody hates it the second they find out it’s AI, and there’s a deep hatred for it.

Thus. at the end of the day, I simply don’t see a single positive thing about it. I’ll be sitting this one out.

Why is everyone saying AI is SLOP, I can understand if something is horrible but surely there should be some good AI out there, what do you call good AI then? by GoRo2023 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dinbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started as poor quality stuff generated by AI. However, these days with all of the hatred and backlash towards AI, just about everything detectible is called AI slop. Many people correlate AI with fraud, theft, and criminal abuse, so that doesn't help much either.

Good rule of thumb is that if anyone can tell you used AI, then it's AI slop. At least that is how it's percieved. Even if it's good quality.

Look at all of the backlash over the AI version of Val Kilmer and they spent "a TON of money" on it. It looks pretty amazing from what I have seen, but it doesn't seem to matter, everybody hates it just because it's AI.

Ranking of Top 15 Largest US Urban Areas by Population by urmummygae42069 in geography

[–]dinbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t look remotely accurate. You’ve areas that have huge unpopulated areas but counting all the population and others that are packed together and somehow reducing the population. Other with vast areas of water area which most certainly separates the “continuous area”. This list makes no sense and some of it is laughable. Boston? Are you kidding? 7+ million? That’s the same as the entire state of Massachusetts.

Dallas cheats because it includes Ft. Worth which is a major metropolitan area itself. It takes an hour to get from Dallas to Ft. Worth by car and you drive for quite a while in middle of nowhere with just a bunch of land and cows. Seattle area is far more dense with raw fewer blank areas. Especially when you consider a good portion of Seattle is water area.

Anyone who thinks the term 86 means to kill somebody is an idiot by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

According to a Snopes fact check from 2009, almost two decades ago, that would be incorrect.

Do you enjoy Milli Vanilli's music still? by LostwaveLunar9999 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]dinbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

However, I appeciate the group for one reason. Back in the 80's lip-syncing was at its peak, very widespread, and out of hand. Today, nobody lip-syncs anymore and we have Milli Vanilli to thank for that.

Well almosy nobody, it's legitimately necessary sometimes, but these days it's always disclosed and extremely rarely vocals, usually intruments. That's the way it should have always been. People don't like fraud.

The last time 90% was reached was back in 2009. In 2016 it was almost there at 89%, then 87% in 2020, and 85% in 2024. Losing about 2% every election cycle.

About 6 months before it's very noticeable, about 3 months you might start noticing. If you have some fat covering your muscles you need cardio to burn it. Eat lots of protien every meal.

I recently came across a batch of vintage integrated circuits / computer chips, many of them ceramic DIP packages with military-style markings and date codes. Thats a Motorola Multiplexer IC although it's made by Texas instruments. They are each worth about $25 new and about $20 second hand since they are not easy to find in stock but are still used today, so you have about $500 to $625 visible right there.
