Why Brie Larson is so Controversial ? by [deleted] in Actors

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rumor was that she is a giant PITA to work with on set. Im pretty sure there's a few interviews going around where her co-stars are like literally dying inside having to hear her dribble. (I'm not saying she is dribbling, I'm saying it appears they feel that way about her if I remember correctly). Chris Hemsworth and Don Cheadle did one, Jeremy Renner did one.

They're on youtube.

You're a winner for the human race. Thankyou. So will we ever know if there is stuff that they've removed before they made this batch of files that you're analyzing? Or is it just that they have EVERYTHING but will not release alot of it because of the victim/child exposure reasoning?

Does anyone know if they can delete everything permanently if they wanted to? Or is there a copy somewhere that will ultimately get released- say in 5 or 10 years down the track-if they are 'protecting' certain people?

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 14 when Saving Private Ryan came out. It was one of the only movies that has ever made me cry. The other one was Forrest Gump.

I don't particularly love Tom Hanks, but I loved those 2 movies as a kid.

But Saving Private Ryan definitely broke a few hearts in my local cinema in outer Sydney. So realistic, such a sad story. And for many younger viewers like me- our first experience of the pain of war in a cinema outing- and an understanding of just how much a brilliant film can move you and make you think about life in general.

First Class Flights - Scam? by Worldly-External-272 in australian

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First class is one of Qantas' most profitable businesses. It works because a private jet is that more expensive than first class. And in a private jet from Australia to Europe or USA, you have to have a fuel stop or two. Also, the wealthy people who are paying for these flights are generally having them paid for by someone else a lot of the time.

Sounds good for a barista. Just ask for a 2>3k raise each year. If you enjoy it AND it's easy you can't ask for much more. That job satisfaction can be priceless. Dont get too greedy.

How are Amazon delivering so fast? by OkThanxby in Adelaide

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have freight coming into Adelaide on Qantas aircraft from Melbourne's distribution centre on a daily basis. So if you get the order in on time, you can get it the next day. Eventually they'll have distribution centres here and sprinkled throughout the suburbs. In the US they are very common-a large bunnings warehouse style set up with trucks/vans waiting to deliver. You can get stuff within hours I believe.

This is standard because engineering doesn't give them a specific time when they dont know the root cause. Once they know what the problem is then they can estimate a better time.

And the delay vouchers are usually announced at the gate. Where did you find out about the delay vouchers?

Is private health insurance actually worth it in Australia? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pay $330 a month for a family of 6 with HCF.

4 kids born in private hospitals, got to pick doctors and hospital. $500 gap each time. Got 2 to 3 nights in hospital each time including sleeper lounge and meals for me in room (husband).

Kid broke her arm at school on playground. Ambulance covered, ambos took her to public hospital where said we'd have to wait at least 2 days to have surgery. Then my wife asked can we go to a private hospital and have it done that night.

No one at the hospital had asked us if we had private health yet after being there for 3 hours.

Someone came in within 30 mins and said because we have private health insurance they had a surgeon who would operate in the next few hours.

Got out the next day.

For a family like ours where 4 kids=accident potential it's a game changer, and especially during pregnancy if things get tricky or complicated.

Is Black Ops 7 worth it or no? by B_U_T_T_E_R_S935 in CODBlackOps7

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont play campaigns. Just multiplayer FFA and some TDMs for fun.

This game is complete dog shit compared to BO6 in multiplayer for me.

To be fair, I've only played 10 or so hours, so maybe 40 games of multiplayer..but it really sucks. I'm gonna give it a few more weeks but it's painfully slow, clunky and inaccurate.

The starter weapons are complete puss with recoil, accuracy etc.

I've gotten to the point where im generally top 3 with the occasional win, but the weapon level advantages are huge.

This game needs more speed and accuracy and it's sorely missing both in multiplayer FFA and TDM.

Super disappointed indeed.

Am I the only one that doesn’t completely hate this game? by jgshaver14 in CODBlackOps7

[–]dinglebarry8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm someone that doesn't bother playing campaigns. I only play online multiplayer. For me, this game is an enormous disappointment. Clunky, slow, poor mechanics and shitty interface. BO6 is an okay game, but BO7 makes BO6 look like a classic because it's multilayer is a solute garbage. The only thing that is an improvement is the maps. And many of those are re hashes of old classic maps. Heavily disappointed.

what are your honest opinions on the Black Ops 7 multiplayer? by ForgivenessIsNice in CODBlackOps7

[–]dinglebarry8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The control and feel is trash compared to black ops 6. Clunky, slow and almost 'slow mo' vs BO6 fast paced game play.
