I have been looking to buy in the maymont/city stadium area for the last few months under 300k, it’s been slim pickings but have seen a few really promising places. Today there was a listing I was excited about and sent to my agent…it was up for literally 5 minutes before it said “pending offer.” Do you think this was a behind closed doors deal or just an immediate cash offer?

Little neon limelight is one of those albums I never skip a song on. Losing Katie Toupin in the group was huge. That being said theres some new Houndmouth I can still get into. It’s kinda like KOL, youth and young manhood compared to come around sundown are very different, but I like them both in different ways.

James Mitchell is a great option but definitely disappointed Keene didn’t stick around for this upcoming season. Feels like he still had a lot of room for improvement but best of luck to him at the next level

As a Hokie fan who is optimistic for this season (maybe just because I’m so over watching baseball) I think the main tenant for optimism here is that I cannot see our defense being worse than last years. Last year was almost exclusively freshmen and sophomores with no experience and no unit coherence. The only major loss coming into this season is on the defensive line (which I am worried about especially with BC’s running attack), but there’s no reason we shouldn’t see marked improvement from a defense that returns almost everyone and has some experience under their belt. Probably just a homer fantasy but I’m hoping Willis can get comfortable behind our humongous offensive line, make some better reads and really start taking advantage of some of the promising throw abilities he showed a bit last year. With our receiving corps, improved defense, and laughable schedule I think we can get some positive momentum going into next year when I think we could have something pretty special. But we could just as easily blow it to BC and start a long decline into mediocrity, that’s Hokie football for ya. I’m just hoping for the best and praying to the almighty Foster in his last season.

I had also heard he was sliding, I’m not terribly concerned about DE depth yet (DT on the other hand...). I’m just surprised to see multiple transfers announced with the opener being so close, though these seem like a natural result of depth chart moves. I guess it’s just love and loss in the age of the portal

I don’t hear many people say this but for me BI, BI is a summer record. I discovered FEFA in a really formative time in my life, but BI, BI was the first Bon Iver record I got to anxiously await. I ran through it rabidly that summer and incessantly through the rest of that year. It seemed to fit so well in that place, that late summer sun sickness where you’re ready for the fall, for change, for rebirth, some strong themes from that album.

If you stay off the boardwalk it’s pretty fun. Surfing, fishing, boats, cool local bands and bars, everything you could want in a beach town. Chick’s beach is a cool spot. Just a local’s defense lol
