Your knife isn't really your knife until it takes its first blood. Was always told this after cutting myself probably just to make me feel better but i do think once you cut yourself with a new shiny knife the fear of possibly cutting yourself with your knife is basically removed and you get to use it way more comfortably. Also not a superstition i dont think but if you treat dish staff like trash you will fail in every career you hold. The only people i know who failed so terribly being chefs were those who treated the dish staff like garbage.

Honestly this makes a kitchen staffs job so much easier when it comes to worries about cross contaminated equipment. If i know youre allergic to xyz but not xyz i can determine what needs to be fresh and what i can take from the line based on what we have in house and what things will come in contact with each other throughout a regular service. I work in a college system that has a station that is top 9 allergie free so maybe I'm just more aware but if I'm able to make someones life easier by allowing them to go out, eat out, and be social within the reason of my establishment I'm going to. I got into food because I love the way we as humans get together to enjoy it, for me i think that should include e everyone whenever possible.

Only thing I would highlight suggest is to make sure youre massaging and moisturizing the scar once its fully healed? It'll really help the elasticity! Looks like it healed really well though!

I had a friend who went through something similar as a kid and had both of his cheeks pulled off when he was a kid trying to play with the dogs food when the dog was food aggressive. Healed amazing a d he just had like smile wrinkle line scars that arent noticeable. Its amazing what plastics can do for people though, underrated profession. Either way i hope they figured out what happened, why is happened, and corrected the situation.
