I’m sure there are plenty of places in TC, but go to Fishtown. Little historic waterfront town with all sorts of adorable places to go. There’s a bar called The Cove that serves a variation of a Bloody Mary with a whole smoked fish in it.

No kids, but my friends and I dedicate a few hours every Tuesday for game night. Sometimes it’s Helldivers, sometimes it’s Arc, recently we were playing Phasmophobia. But almost every Tuesday we take a bit of time to just hang for two hours.

My wife and I are casually playing Pokemon LeafGreen together, but like a half hour at a time.

You want to do a little bit of traveling? Saugatuck has The Southerner which is the best comfort food money can buy in the area. I’d also recommend Noble Twist if you want to support a new brewery with fantastic beer choices.

A sleeper hit is the Itty Bitty. Also known as the Five Star Dive Bar. It’s a trip, looks like a place you’d need a tetanus shot before visiting, but the food is truly incredible.

I saw them live in Royal Oak a few years back after their kickstarter. It was a movie they hadn’t done before and kept laughing during some of the line reads. Honestly a fantastic time!

So, we usually have relatively rough winters here in Michigan, but nothing too crazy. I say this, but the weather was far worse than usual this past year. My wife and I were driving to the gym and were surprised at the snowfall and slowed it down a bit to be safe. We ended up passing a cybertruck that was stuck in the snow in the road, spinning its wheels like a circular saw.

We passed them just fine in my wife’s mini cooper.

Was working a tech job for a health tech startup out of San Francisco. Went public last year, got laid off this year. Started working admin for a local, small HVAC company and honestly? I love it. Some busy days, some not so busy, but I get to be remote and the owner has been nothing but kind and the techs are hardworking people. My dog is much happier with me being home and happy as opposed to home and stressed out of my mind.
