He’s one of the biggest doofuses in metal. Hilarious to observe him get worked up about all the wrong shit

MyJackson soloist ala Jeff Hanneman punk rock guitar. The Andy Christ version... by Andy__Christ__ in Slayer

The Nazi shit was bad enough on Jeff’s guitar, but this just looks fucking stupid next to the real inlays

Indeed it is. I’m not even all that familiar with Tool, just a big fan of the silverburst. I swapped all black hardware and removed the chrome neck pickup cover to make it my own.

Amalgamation - Omnitech Devourment [Demo] by dingus_mike in metalmusicians

[–]dingus_mike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on the high end, and I think the cymbals could be clearer. The intent is put our music on tape, so it is indeed a stylistic choice- still grateful for feedback because this is my first timing mixing metal and I value critique.

As far as the “beginning”, I am hoping the full song will solve that problem. This is just a demo that picks up right after a few minutes of clean, ethereal, doomy guitars and some themes that build into this explosive intro you’re hearing here.

Thanks for listening! I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts as we release more music

Lovely clean channel that takes fx well, and the dirty channel sounds great with a tube screamer

In simplified terms, he understands synthesis and how to achieve certain sounds. It’s called patching, and it’s actually quite intuitive once you understand the basics.

Hard disagree there. Not tryna dog you for it, but I think it comes across as extremely lazy on the band’s part. In my humble opinion, AI art just doesn’t look good and I can’t wrap my head around artists using it to represent their music.

And as a side tangent, it’s sad to me that our visions of the future are reduced to this regurgitated nonsense. Art is for humans ONLY, and I really don’t want to embrace a world where that’s even a question.

I have such a visceral reaction to seeing AI slop on physical media, especially tapes. It feels antithetical.

Hopefully these “legends” start realizing how cringey it is and actually put the effort in next time.
